5K, 10K or yoga at Dodger Stadium... what are you picking?

Okay this actually sounds kinda fun.

There’s a Sunset Run happening at Dodger Stadium and they’ve got a 5K, 10K and yoga, which is such a random mix lol. I think I’d go 5K. Long enough to feel like I did something, but I’m also not trying to spend the rest of the weekend recovering sob...

Yoga is tempting though. Especially if the plan is more show up, hang out, do something active than going full athlete mode. Anyone here thinking about going? Could be fun to get a few LA people together instead of everybody just showing up alone. Also curious what everyone would choose... 5K, 10K, or yoga? There’s also a merrach giveaway tied to the event for anyone interested.

Can you actually use an exercise bike without plugging it in?

I've been thinking about getting an exercise bike for home and one thing that kinda puts me off is having to keep it near an outlet. My room already has enough cables everywhere lol

I only recently realized some exercise bikes can run without being plugged in and now I'm curious how that actually works. I've been looking at the merrach s29 since it's self powered and seems more affordable than some of the other options I've seen. Does pedaling power the display and everything or is there some catch to it?

For anyone who's used one, did not needing an outlet actually make the bike easier to use or move around? Or did you barely notice a difference?

My treadmill is officially just a clothes hanger... thinking of switching to a walking pad

I think I'm officially retiring my treadmill. It's become more of a clothes hanger than a piece of fitness equipment at this point. I'm thinking of switching to a walking pad instead. The treadmill takes up a huge amount of space, and I feel like having something compact would make it easier to actually use regularly (and maybe stop it from becoming another hanger). I'm looking for something budget friendly that's reliable for daily walking. If you've made the switch from a treadmill to a walking pad, was it worth it?

Anyone else feel restless when they first start using a standing desk?

I recently got a standing desk and I’m still trying to figure out how to actually use it properly.

When I sit, I can work for hours without thinking about it. But when I stand and work, I get restless pretty quickly and keep thinking about sitting back down. It’s not painful or anything, I just feel like my body doesn’t know what to do yet.

I’ve been trying to stand for short blocks instead of forcing it for too long, but I’m curious if this is normal at the start. Do you eventually get used to working while standing, or is the point more to keep switching between sitting and standing throughout the day?
