Recipe podcasts!

I want to combine two of my hobbies: cooking and listening to podcasts! I’ve been listening and loving Food Friends, which a GREAT podcast where two chefs discuss recipes for home cooks to make. Does anyone have any other recs for podcasts that talk recipes? Not really interested in food history or food science podcasts. Really want to hear tips tricks and recipe ideas for cooking at home!

Pourable mozzarella not right

I miss miyokos pourable mozzarella so much. I have tried several copycat recipes and while the texture turns out well and it’s “melty” and cooks up nicely, it doesn’t have the same “tang” or cheesey taste that Miyokos had. Basically they taste bland. Is there a secret ingredient I’m missing

Belize honeymoon April 2027

Hi all! I feel like a version of this question has been asked a lot in this sub, but i love to read the opinions of specific resorts, so hoping you guys can help me out.

My fiance and i are looking to honeymoon in Belize in April 2027. Like most people, we want to mix jungle/rainforest with a more relaxed beach vibe at the end of our stay. From this sub and doing some research, i have the following resorts earmarked, would love to hear your experiences of these resorts Especially as it relates to the food there, walkability to other bars/restaurants, etc.

Hotels I’m interested in:

Lodge at long chaa
Sleeping giant
Matachica
Victoria house
Naia

Please let me know your thoughts!! Which of these have you stayed at and loved? We are looking for a laid back romantic vibe, would be awesome if the room has a private plunge pool but not necessary :)

Thank you!!

Masa y mezcal?

Does anyone know what’s going on with this restaurant? They’ve had signage up for like 10 months, and they have not updated anything on their Instagram since October. I noticed the building has a for sale sign up now but not sure if that’s new or not!! I want to know if it’s ever going to open!

Bachelorette In the Finger Lakes

Hi all! I am planning to have my bachelorette party in the fingers lakes. I live in the Hudson Valley and have never been, but have heard wonderful things and it sounds perfect for what I am looking for: wineries, hiking, and beautiful nature. We have about 12 people and are looking at March 2027.

Can anyone provide advice on which towns we should be looking for airbnbs in? I would love to be somewhere that is walkable to bars and restaurants, but absent that -- are ubers easy to get?

Also, does anyone have a suggestion for a wine tour or bus company that will take us to a few wineries?

Any and all advice is appreciated :)

DJ Help!

Hello! I am getting married at Crystal springs resort in NJ in April 2027. Their preferred in house DJ is premium entertainment company.

They get great reviews but the thing I’m not sure about is that they say they “do it all” including lighting, special effects, etc. i don’t want that. I just want a really fun dj and don’t wanna pay for extras that i don’t care about. Did anyone else use them? What did you pay and what was your opinion?

Any other DJ recs for just a good DJ who knows how to get people dancing in the NJ/NY area? … not clubby!!!

I have no idea about budget, what should it cost? I would love to spend around $2,000?

Experience with Postcard Style Save the Dates?

Hi all! I am getting married next April and have been exploring options for save the dates to send over the next few months (a lot of my fiancé's family will be travelling from out of state so we want to send them early!)

Anyway, I really love the look and idea of a postcard-style save the date, but have slight concern that they will get damaged in the mail? Has anyone done postcard style STDs, and how was your experience doing so?

Hi all!! My fiance and i just booked our venue for April 2027! We are so excited.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for finding an affordable wedding dress in the Hudson valley? Affordable to me would mean $1000 or below. I ordered some dresses from online retailers but didn’t love them. Where have you gone to try on dresses in the HV that didn’t break the bank?

Thank you in advance!
