Got our puppy at 3 months.

We got our little guy at 3 months and my hardest adjustment was having to get up at the crack of dawn every single day with him because he didn’t know how to sleep in. That meant my late night girl nights and being hungover, laying in bed watching Netflix all day was over. Lol.

He just hit 11 months and now all of a sudden I’m getting up way before him!!! Is this happening to anyone else? Is my doggy finally growing up?! This has been going on for the past two weeks and it just feels too good to be true! I’ve been working out the past hour at 7:30 a.m. and he’s still in his crate passed out with the door open!!!

He’s also a lot more low-key all day so maybe his teenage phase is starting to get better….

11 month old Australian cattle dog mix

Hi! We recently transitioned him to feeding twice a day instead of three. I’ve noticed in the morning he doesn’t finish his breakfast for around 3 hours but he LOVES wet food (I used them as toppers)

At this age, does anyone do half kibble/half wet food? And if so, what brand of wet food?

How can I make my sitters life easier?

Hi! My 10 month old little guy (Aussie/husky mix lol so not little anymore) is being watched next week with a rover for the first time. We just met her for the first time and she seems amazing.

Our dog is currently in his teenage phase right now. He doesn’t do anything too crazy but he gets bored easily and becomes hyper so it can be a lot at times. We’re lucky he doesn’t tear things apart but he does tend to chew on things he can put in his mouth (luckily not furniture or anything like that.) he’s in puppy training right now.

How can I make her life easier? He’s being watched at her house. I know taking care of a puppy let alone a puppy that isn’t yours isn’t easy and I want her to be a long term watcher since we travel often.

Tip will of course be included at the end, but just looking for ideas that I can’t think of that might make her life easier OR make it worth it to keep watching him. Lol.

Puppy sitter said my dog was too much for her to take on 😅

He is currently 10 months and he’s been an absolute shit the past month. He was a perfect puppy and then he got into his teenage phase and he’s been horrible. He is headed back to his dog trainer & we are going to start crating him more to get back into a routine. He doesn’t bark but he has so much energy that he chews on everything, steals socks/shoes and I guess chewed off all the buttons to her furniture (Venmo’d her for that one! Ugh)

Anyone else experience this before at this age? Totally don’t blame the dog sitter at all. Just stressed. She’s been watching him since February and said the past two times she’s watched him he’s gotten a lot worse.

7 months with my puppy and I think I finally have a handle on it lol

My husband and I are both in our 30’s with no kids (yet) and we have never had a dog before. He grew up with dogs when he was younger but I never did. We adopted a 3 month old puppy and I had NO idea what I was getting myself into.

The first two weeks I was crying everyday because I thought my life was over. My husband and I were so used to getting to travel, leave or do whatever on our own terms and that quickly changed when we got our pup. I felt so guilty because I hated my life and thought we made the biggest mistake.

7 months later I quite literally have no idea how much my life would change for the better. I love him with every bit of me and I wouldn’t change those hard times or my life before him.

Do we spend a fortune on babysitters when we want to travel or do something? Yes. But worth it.

I finally have a handle on crating, taking him potty, waking up at the butt crack of Dawn (still lol) and everything else I had no idea about before we got it.

Basically, I just want to let everyone else know it’s worth it and I promise it does get better!!! Stick it out! ❤️

He’s 10 months now and he’s still a little shit sometimes but now I laugh instead of cry. Lol! He keeps me accountable to go on walks, have a better routine for myself & to not feel like I need to be on the go 24/7 anymore.

How long can a 9 month old be in a crate?

Hi! Just a pretty generalized question. I’m a SAHM so my dog is rarely in a crate anymore. However, we are leaving next week and my friends are watching him. They work weird hours so I’m nervous about his schedule being all messed up because one of them leaves for work at 2:00 a.m. so his bed time will be a lot earlier than when I put him in his crate at night.

My mom said dogs are easily adaptable so he’ll be fine (I hope… I’m a worry wart and always need everything be perfect which I know isn’t ideal) but my main question is: realistically how long for a day or two can a dog be in a crate at his age during the day? Like I said, I’m lucky enough that he’s rarely crated and if he is it’s for max 2-3 hours.

Just curious how long you guys put your dogs in a crate around the same age. Thank you!

I workout five days a week and two of those days are high intensity running- so no long runs but I’m not a noobie to running.

For a good friend & a good cause, I signed myself up for a half marathon June 27th. I have ran a 5k/10k a couple years ago.

I am not looking for a great time, just to be able to complete it. Any tips/running routine should I be in? Anything helps! Thank you!

Anyone have any experience with arctic cruises? We are going to Norway and Finland and looking to book a cruise for a few days. Looking to depart from Svalbard but we are open to anything if the cruise is better from a different location! Thank you!

Am I missing something? Currently staying at the Rosewood but we were between here & one&only strictly because everyone brags so highly of it. We came for lunch to see what it was all about and we were glad to make our choice at the Rosewood.

We come to Cabo about once a year and have stayed at every high end hotel you can think of so maybe our expectations were too high. Also, we did not go into the rooms but we had lunch and drinks at two of the restaurants. So is it the rooms that are desirable? We saw the Villa beach front rooms which are very nice but you can get that at every hotel as well.

Not trying to snark, just trying to figure out why this hotel is known so highly in Cabo. It’s too big (yes, there’s golf carts but still…) and it just seems too spread out!

Anyway, I love to talk hotels so just curious everyone else’s thoughts who have stayed here!
