I play a few times a week and our group plays Nassau almost every round. Usually 5/5/10 or 10/10/20. We play auto press at 2 down and manual press whenever anyone feels like it – which means constantly. Guys pressing before the first hole. Guys pressing because they’re pissed. Guys pressing everything they’re down on one hole. I’ve seen 15+ presses on just the front nine. It’s chaotic and it’s the best part of the game.

The problem is keeping track of it all. Unless you’ve got a Golf Genius card or a scorecard with a lot of white space, you’re writing presses in the margins, losing track of which ones closed, and by 18 someone’s always just asking “what do I owe you.”

I tried other Nassau apps. None of them let you manual press freely whenever you want. And none of them cascade auto / manual presses correctly – if a press line goes 2 down, it should open another auto press. That’s just how the game works.
