Wiseblock's Havana Harbor Review and Impressions
I would love to know what you all think. Does it scratch the Pirate Itch? I know I had a lot of fun with this. Would anyone else consider adding this to their Pirate scene or collection?

Let me know your thoughts, if I can make any improvements, I am just having fun, but I am currently working on a green screen and other improvements to just have fun with this wacky Idea I do with my son and the love of the brick... and what an Iconic set to just mess with and compare.
If you did watch my video , thank you for watching... may I set sail and make another?
I Built this Kraken a while ago and showed it attacking my Queen Anne's Revenge (a HUGE 4' or 121.5cm long ship. People said my Kraken was small, but I think it looks to be a decent size if you put it against the Lego Black Pearl... IDK What do you all think? Should I be conscience about its size? LMAO
I would love to know what you all think... Because I have both and Honestly the Wiseblock set was the best ship I have ever built just straight out of the box.
I have both the Jack Sparrow's Pirate ship set #10365 with 2862 pieces. I just Assembled the Jackdaw from Wiseblock #HA395107 with 3781 pieces I bought both of them with my own money. (so NOT a sponsored opinion) $380 for the Pearl and $229 for the Jackdaw and I got to say I really enjoyed both sets.
But if we are being honest Lego only gave us 18 main cannons (and you have to count a hidden technic pin as well for that number) with no top deck guns, and no bell, binnacle, or sunroof. But they still made a great set. I really like the pop out cannons of the Black Pearl. I had to use Shineboi's mod from re-brickable to make the Black Pearl you see in the pics. It has an extra prefabbed hull piece so its longer and has more cannons, I also made top deck cannons, and I also shortened the sails to allow me to place the ship on a shelf and the top sails looked too tall and wall like and strange to me anyway... So this is what I mean by out of the box. I did enjoy Lego's design but to be the source materiel ship, Black Pearl Ship had 30 cannons, so it needed a few tweaks (IMO)
So just base build, out of the box the new Wiseblock set is amazing. I just built it to the instructions, and it blew me away It also has pop out cannons, but 52 smaller cannons. 4 forward facing, 16 broadside, 5 top deck guns, 1 swivel cannon and one mortar for each side.
the Jackdaw has a strange build process, you build the bow first, then body or midsection, and then the stern last. Most other ship kits I have purchased you build the Hull and work up.
The Jackdaw has Pop out cannons that work with technic pins rotating a shaft that pushes out with a gear the cannons for both sides. So its very comparable to the Pearl.
Both sets have a steering rudder feature but I got to give this one to Lego, as the rudder mechanism on the Jackdaw relies on a rubber band to catch and grip the small gear to steer the ship and its not as well done.
Sails are made of a Plastic material on the Jackdaw and it comes with either white as I chose to use, or solid Black, and I already own the Black Pearl, so I had to go white. I have mixed feelings about the sails. I think on one hand for dusting the plastic material is easier to maintain, but I still think I prefer cloth and Lego had a great pattern for the sails and some battle damage makes it look great. I guess if you want to use a T-shirt or something one can make their own sails. But yeah I wish cloth was given as a choice as well.
Both sets have an interior in the bottom decks, but I think once again I have to give this play feature to Lego, as its easier to access the below deck areas (even if its limited on both builds.) To access the bottom decks of the Jackdaw you have to pull on the technic pins holding the ship together and separate the ship, and inside you will have access to a sparsely decorated interior.
Both sets have access to the Captains Cabin and there are pros and cons to each sets approach. The Jackdaw has a removable top allowing limited access to a very nicely decorated cabin with lots of detail, (more then the Pearl has) if you remove the ships side panels you can pop out a pin and remove a portion of the cabin and create a scene its the second to last pic you can see the portion that is removed. its really nice to get more access to the cabin. But the ease of access on the Lego Pearl is very nice too... so IDK I like both of these concepts.
Top deck has more studs and areas for play on the Jackdaw. Yes on my Pearl I added things, but the Jackdaw has those things and there is still more room. Both ships are curvy on the hull and its just great to see this ship the lines the colors they pop, and its hard not to compare these ships. Lego $380 the Wiseblock Jackdaw was $229. Both great and if you want an amazing build that has awesome compatible parts. I am keeping Wiseblock on my radar this was a crazy good value, with amazing parts(seriously IDK who they have making their bricks but they are great) and wonderful looking set that is pretty close to the source material.
End of the day I am happy I own both these ships of Legend. Does anyone else have this ship? What did you think about it?

About three weeks to build, IDK how many bricks must be over 10,000... hope you enjoy!
This is above my TV shelf... I wish it had more height I wanted to also include Pirates of Barracuda Bay set as well, but it wont fit. The Masts stick up way too high for this shelf.
Anyway what do yo all think of the Pirates Ship Wreck Alley?
I had a few spare parts and its hard to get a tiny Lego ship in a tiny Lego bottle.
First time I ever heard of Wiseblock and they have pirate sets under the Black Flag theme. This was the little Harbor Master set and I think they did a great job of capturing the essence of what was in the game (last pic is in game pic of that scene) Anyway I was surprised by the minifigs they have awesome prints and very poseable legs. I think the only down side is Lego Minifigs can sit down easy on the four studs. These guys have smooth legs and can fall out of chairs. But the arms and legs feel good, not too loose or stiff, and it's nice to have a different body type to add to any Diorama. I bought the big ship and harbor from them as well and plan to enjoy building them. Part quality was excellent. If you blind folded me and told me it was Lego it would be hard to tell any difference. Basically not Mega Block quality but actually nice consistent bricks with nice clutch power and easy push. What do you all think of Edward?
My son and I wanted to put a video up Reddit wont allow too long of a video, So here is a link instead, hope someone enjoys this information it was kind of fun to make.
I just had too its looks so cool!
I edited the Kraken Build by Designer Flex on Rebrickable and just gave it a body. as I wanted something more mobile. I did not have enough pink for the suction cups so I used my own white Lego Single studs to be that.
Rest was Built just messing around, I guess Ill have to learn Lego Software and come up with instructions.
Anyway the Original is by Flex and I left a link below.

I really like the Builds by Legat of Legion. I Have been working on his Sierra Madre Fortress for the Red Coats for a bit, and Its freaking Awesome!!! He puts a lot of Details in his designs and its for the most part modular, I like the interior of the main building, the Tower is unique but mostly hollow and had room for me to alter it a bit to hide a cheap light kit inside. I hope others like it. I left this build link from Rebrickable below.
Original one with Giant Head, and well Altered.
I see so many people not want to buy Pantasy sets because the mini-figs and I think that is a shame because they are some AWESOME sets. But yeah I am not a fan of the Stewie Griffin Heads either, but after messing with the mini-figs, they are built pretty solid and just putting on the classic head part fixes them. They have a nice solid torso and same goes for the waist. The hands unfortunately do not have the slope the Original mini-fig has, so posing different Items in the hands is not as easy. But they have kinda grown on me... IDK What do you all think? Can these Mini-figs be Saved?
Anyway if you do see a Pantasy set please don't pass on it because you don't like the minifigs, your missing a really great set, and Mini-figs are cheap, just put your own in or swap out the heads.
Every single set here is either an off brand or in the case of that white one my Wife's own design she just made with no instruction... I plan to post more pics later but this is what we got so far.
I wanted the best representation of the Queen Anne's Revenge from lore, with 40 cannons and I know from historical representations, It was not really the Pirates of the Caribbean look, But I love that version best. So I edited three different sets and used my own pile of black spare Lego pieces and made my own. it Measures 46" in Length and I know it is a bit short, but I like this look better than too tall... She is 29" in height. My version has 32lb cannons as well as brick built stud launchers being 12lb cannons to make 40 cannons total. It is Modular and you can remove the decks to get inside and use the spring loaded 32lb cannons. I filled it in with some cheap mini-figs as my budget was blown on the various kits and FB marketplace for those extra spare Legos.
Anyway its built to some instruction and a LOT of Improvisation and its one of an kind. You can see it sailing next to the Lego 2011 Queen Anne's Revenge. its more than twice the length I do however feel the sail spread is done sooo well with the original.
Anyway I hope some Pirate fans like this, as it took me the better part of three weeks to alter and make this ship and I am overall Happy with how it turned out.
Overall Piece Count is 7,211 pieces
I got this a few weeks ago From Amazon and finally got around to building it. It was made by Onitufo on the box, but the instructions are from IamBrick... and I am pleased by this find, it was all prints and has a lighting kit. 1312 Pieces, none were missing and I had a few extras.
Brick Quality is Exceptional from IamBrick, they are made by GoBrix, and I think they are just as good if not better than Lego.
Instructions were very clear and the build was jam Packed with Detail.
For the price of less than $30 it was a fun build and I am very pleased with the result.
9/10 build for me and possibly my favorite kit or find of the year.

if anyone else loves pirate themed kits and wants to give it a try.
A few of you wanted me to show the kits built, well I didn't build all of them 100% to the instructions, I like to improvise, but I really had fun with these kits. I Only Opened up 3 of the 4 kits and The Sunken Ship Base, Made a really cool bar for pirates.
The kits cost me very little and I thought they might not be that great, but what the heck for $48 I get a lot and I wanted to post the haul for anyone else interested I think you can still get the Sunken ship base and a few of these sets (Although Amazon is not offering the same bundle deal) they are Really NICE. I mean Here is my Review for the Sunken Ship base and my adaptation of the other two sets...
Instructions: The builds were very easy to follow the instructions were just like Lego, and I had no issues other than maybe determining what brown to use as there is dark brown and light brown to use but its a wreck of a ship it really will not matter in the end.
Part Quality: This is where things get a bit different...Lego has less clutch power and I know overall the bricks were about the same, except some people might not like the extra clutch power needed to press or separate these bricks, and they have a shinier look to them as well. But I myself Loved the neat pieces that came in these sets and for the money I would buy these sets all over again. There is NOT a single sticker in these kits, (something I would expect from Lego) Yet I find this pleasant print experience in a budget set. I took a photo of some of the prints and they are really nice.
Overall Aesthetic: I really get the vibe that these sets were going for, I didn't build the more kiddish elements, (like the brick built shark In the Black Bays set.) I simply used my own extra Legos to bring these kits to be more of my liking. As a result I got a ton of extra parts in bags I will enjoy at a later time. That is what the picture is of extra bags are.
Final Thoughts: Its a no brainier you get so many nice pieces to augment your Pirate builds if you want to just have more parts like me. Yes the parts have a small bit of a different feel but they make up for it in other ways like prints and sheer value.
Anyway I Really Enjoyed these sets and I think if you want to scratch that itch and build a pirate set these do the job at a fraction of the price. I hope someone else gets some joy from these sets. Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!

Here is a link to the Sunken Ship Base (my favorite one of these) its currently only $14 and offers a lot of value for that, the other sets (if you can find them) are awesome for the parts but some people did tell me Amazon is out of stock or not offering the bundles anymore.
I bought these from Amazon and there was a bundle deal thing I don't know if there are many left, but they work with Lego, and I thought for the price they might help someone get into the Pirates theme... I mean $38 for all of these is insanely good right?
Set one has 1035 pieces
Set 2 has 484
Set three has 482
Set four has 533
That is 2534 pieces for $38 (excluding tax)
