I impulse bought this SKS at my LGS a few hours ago, but I wouldn't consider myself an expert when it comes to Chinese Type 56 rifles. In particular, I was curious about the manufacture date and why this has a flash hider on it, as the flash hider actually prevents me from deploying the bayonet. I am guessing this was a commercial model, but past that looking up S/N info was really confusing to me. I used to own one years ago before trading it to a neighbor, which I regretted doing, and have been searching for one since.
This particular one was $525 at my local shop and in absolutely mint condition, seemingly unfired, as the rifling was immaculate.
I was curious if this particular rifle was anything special or unusual, as this was part of a kinda insane collection that was brought in with some other stellar guns, such as a brand new in box Italian AR 70 and an unfired example of a VZ58, among others.
I am deciding to dip my toes into the Glock world, and for my first gun I decided to put together a G19 from Gen 3 parts. I just ordered a Get Grips pistol frame with OEM internals, which seem to be a very popular frame, and am now looking for a slide assembly
With discount code and shipping, this comes to $253, which seems like a good price.
My main question would be if this sub has other recommendations for a Gen 3 G19 slide. For example, how would this compare to something like a PSA Dagger upper assembly? Or an upper from a Ruger RXM?
It must be milled for an optic, and a threaded barrel is not required, as I intend to carry this as much as I do shoot it. A comp is nice, but also not required
Hoping somebody can help me troubleshoot an issue I have with my newly acquired P09F Nocturne, and see if you guys have come across similar issues
I bought a brand new Holosun EPS to go along with it, which in theory should be GTG out of the box. However , it would seem that the screws that it came with were not long enough to actually go through the body of the optic and bite into the screw holes in my pistol.
Have you guys come across anything similar with your optics mounts? Obviously something is wrong, but I don't know if it's because Holosun just simply doesn't ship very long screws or some other problem.
I do see that Freedom Gorilla sells replacement screws for the EPS that are supposed to for the P07 and P09 Nocturne, but I am uncertain if this would actually fix my issue.

Hey guys, just picked up a new P09F from GunBroker on a great deal, but have a question about optics compatibility.
I want a closed emitter dot for this pistol, and to me the obvious choice would be something like the Holosun EPS. My question, then, is if anyone has mounted the full sized EPS to their P09, and if it causes any overhang on the slide, or if I would be better off getting the EPS carry.
Or, if you guys have any other optics recommendations, I am all ears as well.
