Mainline Jobs

At a regional currently, and I got a question if the mainline pay is actually double what regional is? And if so why is it so much more? Is it just much more complicated with such a larger operation?

How many years of experience does it generally take at a regional, I often hear quoted 2-4 years, and I have definitely seen it in less and more does that tend to be the average?

How will Spirits bankruptcy effect the market I'm assuming it will delay lots regional dispatchers from a mainline, but by how many years do you think?

How to get your first job?

I'm 22 in an unrelated career that I'm not certain I want to remain in, the role of a financial analyst sounds very much like something I would want to do.

I don't have a bachelor degree I am considering getting one in accounting through WGU. Getting a job as a staff accountant and moving to Finance.

Not interested in securities analyst or I banking particularly, and I don't think a WGU degree would allow me to get a job like that anyway.

Is this a good plan, it seems like the job market is really bad right now for finance and I'm not sure if investing the time and money in the degree is worth it if getting the first job proves to be impossible.

Financial Analyst, Risk Analyst, Treasury Analyst, Credit Analyst, are the careers I'm looking at, with Financial Analyst being the most exciting looking but the most competitive.

My current industry makes decent money, (not great by any stretch) but has terrible shift life which I'm trying to leave. Thanks.

WGU

Does an online degree at WGU in accounting or finance able to land you a job as a Credit Analyst at a commercial bank of a junior financial analyst at a small to mid Midwest company?

Financial Analyst

Hello, I live in Indianapolis and have been considering a career transfer to a finance career, a financial analyst seems to be the career that interests me the most based on description alone, is anyone in Indianapolis able to show me what you guys actually do? If not, a detailed explanation and day to day works just curious.

College Algebra

Hello, I am planning on starting WGU accounting (maybe finance, but right now I'm leaning accounting), in July or August. I am weak in math though, especially the more abstract math which has me concerned about the College Algebra course. I've also heard from other threads that the course is not very good from a teaching perspective, though that is heresay.

My question is should I try to get a certificate through Sophia/Study.com or enroll through the class and suck it up? Thanks?
