So i got mail from Common course telling that subjects that are on pending are dropped/disapproved

I checked and I had foundation courses( for which i signed up really fast) and status there is pending

I also checked queue for CC, and may I ask u for one it shows 16 places avaliable and i am 7th in queue of 19, for other, No vacancies 65th on 71 ppl queue.

So Will I get into CC where I am 7th in queue?

Also will My Foundation courses be disapproved?

I was trying to enroll into courses yesterday, and did well except only 1 course Math1013

I wrote an email to department of cs and faculty of eng, sxplaining that exemption, fyi I have IB with 6 and SAT 800.

So It has been 1 day (sorry for my impatience), when they will approximately reply? I fear that class I tpok will be full and I need to choose other one that wont match my schedule.

The status in my portal changed to "conditions met" 1 week ago.

Yet there is no uncondotional offer.

I have been wondering regarding bathroom in housings.

Is High West only HKU housing (for undergrads) where 2 ppl share same bathroom.

Is there any other housings, villages, halls, colleges offering 2 ppl sharing same bathroom.

I have very serious phobia and I will even have struggles sharing with 1 person , I only heard High West offers, but it is too expensive...Any other possible choices with 2 ppl sharing or atleast 3-4...

Basically, I applied for IB remark because I was confident, I could not get such score from that subject, I was 1 point off from offer in Bachelor, Computer science.

I have recieved my remark results reciently, and IB indeed increased my grades and return money fee soon.

I immediately mailed HKU that I met their condition and IB did mistake in grading.

Today I got reply from them that they can not offer me place in Bachelor of CS!!! (all spots are filled, they say)

I am completely frustrated since I literally met their requirement and it is not my fault that IB graded my paper wrong, and even my remrk was successful and I met conditions.

Please, I kindy ask you to help me.

I am honestly very stressed because of this situation as conditions were high and I met them and hard worked. Moreover, seeing IB wrong graading which costs 20+ days for me not to send them result (Remark takes long) and at the end looking how HKU can not give place, genuinely broke my heart.

Can someone know solution or give their suggestion regarding this! 😭

So I applied in november, I got my IB results it is 35+ (July).

I also got 800/8000 Math SAT

Ielts 7.5

Funded scholarship from another party

and Lots of International olympiads and start ups.

I called them recently, they say my application has been reviewed several times ( The guy checked) and they will look at last round selection( August).

I just can not believe I applied in early round and there are people who applied in December, January, Feb, March and etc. and got their results already.

Moreover, How did people with ONLY SAT get accepted?!?!?

I called several people and they told me they got acccepted just with sat?

While People with IB, A-level still not accepted?

What is going on with CUHK?

Is it even fair?

Can you recommend me what to do because I rejected other TOP Unis for CUHK.

Hey everyone,

I’m in a tricky situation and wanted to see if anyone has been through this or knows how it works.

I missed my HKU conditional offer by 1 point (got a 37 instead of 38). I submitted an appeal explaining my situation, but I assume probability of me getting accepted is low

Because of this, I went ahead and requested an IB remark yesterday.

My question is: If my appeal was already closed/rejected due to lack of space, but my IB remark successfully brings my score up to meet the conditional offer, will they still have to accept me, or is my application completely dead once a rejection is finalized?

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!

I have recieved my IB grades and got 37 points.

My condition for CS requests 38 points.

Is there any possibility they will accept me with that if I put on relaxation offer.

I have pretty good portfolio with startups and achievements in olympiads.

I am JUST 1 mark away from Increasing Grade on Specific Subject. ( if they increase by 1 mark , it will rise to 7 , hence to 38).

I emailed multiple times and had little answer just to check on application.
