Those commuting into London for a payrise, do you regret your choice?

Looking at the prospect of accepting a new job, it's around a 25/30k jump but requires 1.5 days a week in London (1 a week, then two the next week).

Even after the expense and tax it'll still probably put another grand a month in my pay. But I'd be walking away from a super flexible fully remote job that already pays fairly well.

I'm in my 30s with kids, so I both want to be a good dad and also grow my career. There's pros to both.

Anyone here glad they did it? Regretting it?

Edit: comments are about 50/50 so far which helps and doesn't! I appreciate everyone's feedback though and there are lots of good points I hadn't considered.

First time in years I tried to shop at GAME. It's £5 to COLLECT a game in store. This can't be normal?
