FR991 x Ferah starting to show off
It was hard for me to say it too.
Echinocactus grusonii monstrosa
Ferobergia (sic) seed possibly or just more selfed seeds.
The best spiral I’ve seen in our garden since most of them turned into crests
Closest thing I have to a red spined terscheckii
Not confirmed on species as the seed was collected in Peru, but no flower picture.

They always look so much larger once they are already cut. Such a handsome plant even without the flowers.

KK337 T. tulhuayacensis
Our flower was confirmed on this plant as the true T. tulhuayacensis pink flower 2025. As you can see the shape and spination has great form while we get the flower from a plant obtained by KK.
From SS “A very spiny upright peruvianoid from Huachac, Peru. Thick green stems, frosted blue-gray. Long spines start off red-brown top black and age gray. We were pleasantly surprised when the plant finally flowered in 2008, with a bizarre red/magenta blossom–very unusual for peruvianus kin.”

Notes and Description.
Nice large cuttings of some amazing clones and plants I’ve grown out. I can always take more pictures of all sides just let me know.
Grown outdoors in full sun, no shadecloth, healthy but some have some blemishes and marks. Run away if you must.
I’ll cut it and dry them for a week before mailing. I use rooting hormone unless you say no.
It was a browningia at one point too. The cephallium will come on probably in about three or four more feet. Check the nectaries working hard with all that drip
Maípu pachanoi doing that crazy viral change in color that goes away again when it cools. again if it was a burn it would be permanent and the texture of the skin would change with a burn. They say that’s the good good.
from Cactario Maipu in Santiago, Chile mostly just used as grafting stock. when asked, the owner said he didn’t particularly like cacti but wanted to quit his job as a truck driver and thought it would be a good business he could do from home
There’s just something about a well grown variegated plant like cv. JS47V that an imported San Pedro will never be able to compete with. Is it better than “China Gold” With all the bias in the world. I say yes it is.
It’s been 5 years since we started propagating the variegated version of this “peruvianus”.
@cactus_affinity time flies doesn’t it?
Let’s see your biggest JS47V
