finally cut the last column on the stand so we can move the “stump” I mean pot to a different location. My walking space by the greenhouse has so much space now 😆

being stacking and monstrosing and variegating and glaucousing and funkying it all up.

Here’s an update on growth of our seed grown beneckei :) NFS

It’s got a nice light glaucous blue to it in full sun.

My no.1 clone we have used for hybrids multiple times now :) finally gave it a cut.

it’s spectacular in the daytime too. Trichocereus colorful hybrids ya wait 6 years for to see a flower and it pans out.

Pilosocereus fulvilanatus var vanheekianus

initially the hairs were a fairly light yellow and didn’t give the contrast we see here. A bit boring honestly. it’s become so much more vibrant as GBD the hairs have gotten. The wide blue ribs are gorgeous . Absolutely gorgeous even though it won’t let me pollinate it with Cipocereus bradei pollen 🤣

Sacred Succulents “ A very spiny upright peruvianoid from Huachac, Peru. Thick green stems, frosted blue-gray. Long spines start off red-brown top black and age gray. We were pleasantly surprised when the plant finally flowered in 2008, with a bizarre red/magenta blossom–very unusual for peruvianus kin.”

Sometimes those four ribbed scopulicola just hit.

You can tell though it’s not a consistent expression because the main column isn’t four ribbed and looks like the last picture.
