How much is a dental consultation and is it covered in insurance?

I made an appt at a dentist and they said that the consultation is $200 up front. It's not covered in the insurance. I have new insurance and I want to know if that is normal, bc then I also have a deductible, so I am already about $500 deep before anything gets started. What are your thoughts or experiences on this?

help me be a capitalist

Help. I genuinely cannot understand why I might have a car payment. I need a car, and I need a prius because I have been driving them for 10+ yrs and I don't like gas and I'm spoiled. I bought these prius's used, and they did great. Now I need a car, but prius's are harder to come by and I am looking at .....

a car payment.

I'm hard on cars. I drive hard and I don't have a garage and I don't have a regular lifestyle so maintenance is inconsistent.

I am so terrified of committing to this car payment business. It feels wrong to me, and yet, if I don't like it, can I get out of it??? What do I do if I feel this is not working for me.

signed,

bad capitalist

Been driving prius since 2014. Very spoiled. My most recent one from 2012 was recently totaled.

I live in chicago area. No garage. Street parking. Prius' depreciate so hard. They are so low to the ground!

But I am just so spoiled by the $$$ I have saved.

I am srsly considering a 2016 hybrid toyota rav4. What are your thoughts. For a street parker, hard driver. I had a Rav4 before my first prius and it fit me well, but it was not a hybrid. Honestly, it is hard to leave the prius.
does anyone have any experience with this?

thank you for all of your thoughts.
