The Sabres currently have 27 roster players if you include the RFAs and players who need waivers likely to be claimed (Levi and Johnson). The NHL roster limit is 23. Who stays? Who goes?

Friedman reports that Jason Robertson declined a $15mil/year contract with the Kraken

If Robertson is going to be choosy about where he signs, it will really handicap the amount Dallas can demand in return. The big question to me is if the Sabres are a team he’d be willing to sign with.

[Friedman] Also today, BUF GM Jarmo Kekalainen was very upbeat about extension discussions with Zach Benson. That’s closing in. Don’t have exact specifics, but hearing it’s in the $50M range.
