job switch or prepare for GMAT? Is it tough to crack ISB/ IIM A PGPX in one go?

Hello! I am currently working as a software engineer in an European bank, for last 3 years now.
My profile-
2017-10th - 9.6 cgpa CBSE board -> 91.2 % (CGPA*9.5) someone told this formula
2019-12th - 83.4 %, screwed up pretty badly
2023-college - 8.63 CGPA Btech computer science from private university in TN.

I want to ask is it feasible to get into ISB/ IIM A PGPX in one attempt(Academic year)?

I am asking this question since I am targeting to get into an MBA programme by mid 2028, and currently I am trying to switch job which is very mentally taxing, I have an imaginary deadline of job switch by this year end, else it would be very difficult to accommodate in new job and also prepare for GMAT and profile building by mid 2027!

My current company is way too chill and new hires in my project are not able to deliver, hence for time being there I am an important resource for them, but the issue is pay here is not good. Also there's no POR in this organisation.

So should I continue for job switch or start focusing on profile building and GMAT from January and stay in my current org? Hence the question regarding the feasibility.

need advice- is this feasible?

Hello I am currently working in Blr, right now I am in my hometown Gwalior, there is spinny in Agra, which almost 120kms from Gwalior, I do find some interesting cars there, but is it feasible and logical to get a car from there, since Agra is in UP and I am from MP, how can I provide residential proof?

Has someone done similar stuff?

Buy or hold!?

I am planning to buy a bike, have been planning to buy for last 3 years, but my father has agreed now(his colleague's son died in road accident in Blr), he might be able to get BH number hence planning to buy a bike in my hometown, which I would using in BLR, with sudden surge for ethanol and isobutanol blending, I am confused to buy right now or wait!

I already have Jupiter 125 in Bengaluru which solves 99% of my requirements, it's just that I am 6'1 and 110kg it looks too small for me, hence wanted to buy a bike!

with the bill being passed for E30, it doesn't make sense to buy rn! but I have been wanting a bike for the longest of time and my father was strictly against it, this is an opportunity for me to buy a RE meteor or scram 440! I was also thinking of getting a used HONDA Amaze or Jazz but the rising fuel prices doesn't make sense for buying a car for one person!

does anyone has any technical knowledge of what all can be done if we start getting e30 in next 6-8 months, what all amendments can we make in our bike to make it sustain e30?

Also wanted to know, if any body knows when will we start getting good e85 bikes to buy ? the ones launched right now are just gimmicks I believe.

confused!? as a 25 old male

I recently consulted a psychiatrist in Bengaluru, I went for ADHD diagnosis, but he told me I have anxiety issue, not the episodic but a constant anxious nature, he told ADHD can sometimes be confused with anxiety, also the wave on social media makes everyone feel they have ADHD! this aside he prescribed me nexito 15mg, but I was taking 5mg as my gastroenterologist suggested that, every family member of mine was against it, even I ignored since I was already popping a BP medicine, but if I totally stop the 5mg dose I get constipated, right now I take in every 3 days, no logic just a lab rat experiment.

I wanted to know if some one has bad experience with the medicines or have got addicted to them?
I believe my baseline dopamine is too low, does this explain my sugar and porn addiction?

Also I wanted to ask how do you start/maintain a relationship with girl? since I am not conventionally good looking, have gained a lot of weight for someone 6'1 around 110 kgs and a "receding" hairline , women won't approach me I am very well aware of that, but when I think of initiating a conversation with a women for a potential dating scenario I think of it as "too much" effort, also I know I should initiate conversation without any expectations and let it flow naturally, somehow I am unable to do so, and I believe it is not worth the effort and time, since it won;t give me anything in return, whereas a male friendship can allow me to play sports with them, go on bike rides, go to gym together that too without getting too attach, but If I do all these activities with a woman I will definitely get attach to her and don't want the pain of "we are just friends", what to do?

I have noticed I need instant return/reassurance/reward for my actions be it gym, study anything else hence I am not able to continue it for long, also I am very bad in revising stuff can not go through a thing that I have already done once, have been going to the gym on and off for last 7 years now, was skinny fat now I am "American" fat, have all the muscles but also man boobs and a beer belly, it has been difficult for me to repeat the same movements in the gym again and again, going gym alone has made it more difficult for me, I always want immediate result is it impatience or just low levels of dopamine?

Unable to comprehend and process what's going on right now, does everybody feels the same?

Hello everyone, this is my first post here on reddit, I am a Computer Science graduate 2023 from a very famous/infamous private university down south! I joined a GCC of European investment as an intern and full time employee in my 8th semester, joined in a team small project with python/ML, we had to create a POC for ML/AI in the project since the budget for the project was coming under some AI/ML initiative, learnt nothing much there but got some good insights on ML, but then I got to know there was much no budget for the full time employee in that project, was on bench/mobility for almost a month, since the market was bad, I got into a big data project under the same manager. My salary as a fresher was very decent and above average for my branch in college.

I thought everything is good now, the team was much bigger in size there was a lot too learn as well since this was my first time working with java, azure, Hadoop, spark, spring-boot, Kubernetes and docker. The senior I was replacing didn't give me a good KT, also I was too lazy to learn myself and dig deep in the codebase, since the performance was not upto the mark my team got changed again and then again. In the second appraisal season was given a very bad rating.

Finally I started the prep for switch, the market condition was not too good in early in 2025, also I was recognised for my efforts in my current team and was regularly praised in one on one meetings with my new manager and scrum master! so I dropped the prep for switch, and started prepping for CFA (very famous and valued finance certification) spent almost 2 lakhs there, since AI was booming I thought tech + cfa would give me a very good competitive edge in banks and fintech companies also it diversifies my profile if I ever want to do an MBA.

During my prep for CFA I attended my cousin's wedding, her friends in tech were earning more than 50+ base with experience of around 4-5 years, so I thought of pausing my cfa prep and switch the job since my base has not even increased 6% annually.

Tried prepping for data engineer roles solely as the DSA requirement was pretty, understood spark in detail and everything but in the end the role didn't exite me much, then couple of my friends moved to google and meta, Also the one's in their existing company got their base salary hiked upto 2x of their joining which is around 20, I started with my base higher than them but still my growth felt stunt and this is not just me most my college mates who joined my org are stuck in same situation.

Here I am neither or earning, so I decided to move data science roles again also decided to pursue FRM(risk management) certification which would help me gain business insights.

Doing CFA/FRM came from the fear of instability in tech jobs due to AI, I thought if I have domain knowledge as well I can have a stable career in banks/fintech even my MAMA who is a tech manager in US, validated this.

Now when my friends are travelling abroad, buying cars, helping their family, I am sitting here doing dog shit

Also I was diagnosed with anxiety and ADHD, Hypertension during this time, have gained a lot of weight and receding hairline has hampered my overall well being and confidence

Right now I am learning generative AI and trying to be a builder rather than a developer along with machine learning , most of which I have done during my college days as our curriculum for ML was very good, need to refresh it and build some production grade shit.

Now the issue--> in my current job I just don't feel opening my laptop as my work is mostly based on project knowledge no technical knowledge also it feels like a time waste since I don't want to do it , honestly I can deep dive in something and work 10 hours , but this context switching of doing something for 5-6 hours daily during my Job and then studying for Data science role is not very easy for me. Also studying for CFA/FRM made me realise I don;t have any interest in finance nor in tech just need to have a good salary and live up to my parents expectations, also I thought of every career option even my parents are supportive but "kucch aur aata hii nhi".

I understand this stance is very privileged, and can be first world problem for many people here, don't want to offend any one of u! just feeling too stuck and wanted to get it out of me!!

Thanks for your patience, reader!!
