Beginner solo traveler in Sri Lanka ... looking to tag along and connect

I’m here for the next three months...I’m enjoying the experience. I look happy in these photos ... and I am ... but I think I’d be even happier sharing some of these experiences with other people inbetween. I would love to meet people, learn, explore and sometimes just tag along with a group or someone who has plans.

If anyone would like some company for their plans, feel free to include me. I’d be happy to join and share the experience... exploring places, group trips, random adventures, volunteering, meditation retreat .... anything.

Just looking for a win-win situation and some good human connection.

I have plenty of time, energy and things to contribute... so if having me around could be useful or enjoyable for you, I’d be happy to join. I’m just looking for genuine company, friendship and shared experiences.

Until I find some good company, I’ll keep myself busy with important things…

like eating jackfruit curry 😉

To everyone who replied to my last post ... thank you 🤍

I honestly didn’t expect that post about slow travel, finding a travel partner and eventually building a little off-grid life somewhere will get so many responses.

A lot of you asked me what this imaginary place actually looks like in my vision. It's difficult to put it into words. What I have in my vision is more like a feeling and a picture than a perfectly explained plan.

And honestly, after getting so many responses, I realized something...

  1. Trying to connect with everyone through posts, messages and somehow make it happen doesn't really work. You can't force that kind of connection.

  2. Maybe the place doesn’t need to be some untouched paradise in the middle of nowhere.Maybe I can simply love what I’m living right now ...

So,

Maybe the place doesn't exist yet.

Maybe the person doesn't know me yet.

But somehow, I feel like the story has already started 🌱

🇱🇰 Traveling around Sri Lanka for the next 3 months

I’m currently in Colombo sorting out my visa extension, and once that’s done I’ll be free to explore Sri Lanka for the next 3 months.

I’ve already been to Hiriketiya, Ella, Sigiriya and Kandy, so now I’m looking to discover some new places.

I’m pretty open to spontaneous trips, road trips, hikes, beaches, hidden spots, or just exploring somewhere completely random.

If anyone is traveling around Sri Lanka and wants someone to tag along, or if you have any ideas/recommendations, feel free to connect! Would be great to meet some fellow travelers along the way 🌳

29F | Looking for an off-grid life companion

I'm new to off-grid living, but I've been feeling increasingly drawn toward building a life closer to the nature somewhere in Asia or another warm, temperate place.

I'm looking for a man who could first feel like a good friend and companion; with whom sharing everyday life, learning, exploring and building something together would feel natural. Someone who either already has land/a homestead and would like to share that life with a partner or is genuinely interested in creating it together.

I'm imagining something small and simple: a natural home, growing food, planting trees, creating a food forest and having the freedom to live at our own pace. A life that feels joyful to wake up to.

I'm drawn to someone who has an inner life, I myself love to meditate and listen to Osho... so i will be happy to align someone also interested in these or simply someone who has a deep connection with nature. No dogma or spiritual performance; but someone grounded and genuinely curious about life.

I don't have an off-grid background myself, so I'm coming with openness and willingness to learn rather than a list of expectations.

Ultimately, I'm hoping to find a friend with whom this kind of dream could feel real slowly, naturally and together.

If you're already living this way or seriously working toward it and looking for someone to share the journey with, I'd be happy to connect 🌷

29F | Looking for a travel companion

I'm looking for someone to travel with for a while, with the possibility of eventually building an off-grid life together.

I don't really travel for the sake of collecting places. I'd rather explore slowly, spend time in nature and different cultures and see where we feel most at home. I'm completely open to trying different places until we find somewhere that feels right and then staying, planting roots and creating a life there.

Simple living, nature, growing food, trees, maybe a little home of our own. Meditation or spirituality is a plus and listening to Osho together would definitely be intimate 🌷

looking for a lady swimming coach

Hi everyone 👋

I’m looking for a lady swimming coach in or around Kandy, preferably somewhere close to Katugastota. This is for me personally, so I’d be more comfortable with a female coach.

I’m hoping to find not just a coach, but also someone friendly and supportive to learn with 😊

If anyone has recommendations or knows someone suitable, please let me know. Thank you!

Looking for a simple farm stay / fruit paradise in Sri Lanka 🌿🥭🍌

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a quiet, non-commercial place in Sri Lanka to stay for a few months ... ideally a homestay, organic farm, small community, eco village, retreat space, or even a house next to farms and nature.

What I’m looking for:

• Surrounded by greenery, trees, birds, peace

• Easy access to lots of fresh fruits and vegetables

• Mangoes, bananas, papayas, coconuts, jackfruit, durian, rambutan etc. available locally/in abundance

• Simple lifestyle, not luxury tourism

• Preferably close to farms or fruit growers

Also would deeply appreciate:

• Contacts of local fruit suppliers/farmers who deliver fresh fruits directly from farms

• Organic fruit farms

• Small raw vegan / permaculture / eco communities

• Any hidden gems away from heavy tourism

Open to anywhere in Sri Lanka ... hills, forests, coastal villages, jungle areas etc.

Thank you 🌱
