Help with idea to turn a paint wrinkle into lightning bolt look
I was recently spraying metal flake on some tumblers, primarily to play around with. My intention was to spray out multiple colors and have the tumbler actually be a spray out of, in this case silver metal flake over a grey base, with several different candies. While spraying one of the tumblers, which is actually a 1/2 gallon one, a few large wrinkles happened as soon as I sprayed the flake. I know why it happened and initially was a little pissed but realized it could actually turn into something cool. What I am thinking about doing is having it look like lightning but am not sure what's the best method to use. The metal flake is still there, so I wanted to use as much candy as I can. My thought is to use some black candy and spray around the wrinkles, then come back across the top of the wrinkle and scuff it back off, so that the tops are light colored again, then use red candy. I can do panel art but struggle with this part of creating art but am wanting to learn.
My other idea would be to have it look like snow flakes. For that I was thinking of spraying it with white, then coming back and having the contrast where the tops are silver and then spraying it with a blue candy. I appreciate any guidance. I actually have 2 large wrinkles that each could be a separate style, so I could have lightning and a snowflake. If this was a panel then I would just shoot a test piece but creating a test panel that is metal flake over silver base, with a lot of wrinkle texture would be a pain in the ass and probably fail. Thanks for any insight.
Just in case there's different colors that I could use, my candies are Blue, Red, Fuchsia, Purples, Greens, Gold, Orange and Black.
