First time playing Tsukihime. A little nervous but hyped at the same time

I’m also currently going through the Stay Night VN but bc Tsukihime never had a proper anime adaptation compared to Stay Night, I don’t have anything of reference to go by when it comes to using my imagination to process what’s going on, or head canon voices I can use in my head for these characters bc I’m literally just getting into this VN at the time of me typing this. For example; when I’m going through the FSN VN, I imagine pretty much what I recall from the anima’s to use as reference point and their English voices from Ufotable’s fate adaptations (yes I’m a dub watcher don’t say NOTHING) are what I hear when I read their lines but I’m going in blind with this so I’m gonna need a minute to head canon the English va’s as I read through this one. But I’m not completely thorough, I’m still gonna drill drive through this.

I’ve seen some retrospective video’s of this but I don’t know the story or cast myself so here we go.

Incase ya’ll don’t know, last month I posted how Yota’s English VA originally voiced Sonic back in the 2000s

Well, allow me to show y’all two clips of these hungry little goobers taking a big ahh bit out of their food or just straight up eating it in one gulp lol.

It will always be funny to me that Subaru’s initial beef with Julius could be summarized as “the whole time mc been insecure about this purple haired knight whom he just met cucking him and ruining his chances of being with the girl who purple haired knight obviously has no romantic feelings for”

Like, nobody was making this weird but you buddy lol.

Yk, I’ve never watched an anime where the premise and the characters are so basic yet still enjoyable to watch to the point where I want more after every season

People need to get off the idea that just because something is basic doesn’t mean it’s bad. There’s beauty in simplicity.

When getting into the series for the first time, what first impression did Emilia leave on you as a viewer?

Ima be honest, the first time I saw Emilia in episode 1, I thought she was gonna be a sassy tsundere type of character bc of how she was always saying everything she was doing for other people was just beneficial for her and nothing more. But instead of that, we got the “dere” part of her and my guess of her being a full on tsundere completely disappeared and I’m glad it did.

Plus, she obviously gave off a “heart of gold” heroine vibe after saving Subaru, and she went from getting from ready to interrogate him to and being adorably confused about rather or not she made the right turn.

The more I think about this, the more f’ed up it is

>!Cause Fukuchi legit murked no more than 500 people for the sake of something that would never happen and I don’t see too many people talk about that enough. Like, 500 people died over the equivalent of an April Fools prank.!<

With it being 3 months since Part 1 concluded, I’d like to talk about how I feel about its conclusion and how I feel about the last arc to the first part

>!The Resurrection Arc (as it's called on the BSD Wiki) is an arc that after its conclusion, I've seen A LOT of people have criticism over. I've seen people have a lot of understandable criticism over this arc and for me, I have mixed feeling about the arc. I'll talk about what I like about it first though bc better to start positive.!<

The Pros:

>!1st and foremost, I REALLY like the reveal of Fyodor's ability, the buildup was imo perfect and will to me be one of the most memorable things that happened in the manga. The build up took about 2 chapters and during the wait for the next, I was low key on the edge of my seat as we were getting closer and I was seeing some speculation on Twitter. Hell, I remember someone once deduced that he might be able to manipulate his blood into people's bodies and control them. Plus, with how it didn't turn against him in Dead Apple and a quote from the IRL Fyodor saying "Your existence was a crime, life is your punishment." how did we not deduced his ability had to do with him being immortal before lol? Even if I have more questions about how his power works, the reveal was memorable.!<

>!Secondly, I enjoyed how much Atsushi and Akutagawa's relationship developed in this arc. They've gone past enemies, to frenemies, to friends and I love that (now all we need is for Akutagawa to call him by his name, cuz me personally I aint responding to "Weretiger" no more bro). But anyway, now that Atsushi witnessed Akutagawa's abuse firsthand in those visions, how will Atsushi act or look at Dazai?!<

>!Thirdly, seeing the Guild pull up was unexpected for me but really hype because I had a strong feeling that we weren't going to see the other members again, but I was proven wrong. In fact, it was nice to see the enemies of the ADA band together with the ADA to defeat Fyodor, kind of feels like they're on and off allies at this point which is fine by me.!<

>!Fourth, Atsushi trying to understand Fyodor on a deeper level after capturing him was very in character for Atsushi and really makes me think that Fyodor has a VERY tragic back story. In fact, something I like about this arc is that we see more to Fyodor we haven't seen prior and that part is interesting to me. And Akutagawa just simplifying Fyodor's action to him just going mad due to his immortality also makes me realize that in universe, the characters themselves don't at all understand Fyodor. I know people hate his last words but to me, it was a very human thing for him to say bc, of course he would hate the people that got in the way of goals. People in the story fail to understand how genuine his end goal is and he finally lost his patients with his enemies and gives them an "I hate you all". But that's my interpretation Ik the way Fyodor's death was played out is controversial to some fans but I'm just looking deeper into it so it's ok if you don't agree with me.!<

>!Fifth, the conversation between Fyodor and Fukuzawa was thought provoking. Fyodor sees humanity for what it is, Fukuzawa sees it for what he wants it to be.!<

>!Lastly, I like how the aftermath was almost how I predicted it bc I just KNEW the ADA and everyone else had to do a lot of damage control which makes a whole lot of sense. They wone, but not everything is all sunshine and rainbows and that's what I expected before this whole DOA Saga came to a close.!<

The Cons:

>!Ok here we go; So, this arc has to be without a doubt the most controversial arc in BSD. Like I said, I understand the criticisms. For me, my biggest issue with this arc is that it feels how do I put it... out of place? And I'm not goanna lie, in my humble opinion BSD feels like BSD when the conflict is only restricted to Yokohama and other conflicts have a more so detective vibe to it, and I think that's why the Dark Era and the Guild Arc are to me BSD at it's peak, bc not only does those arcs showcase foreign authors, but it had stakes that were restricted to the fate of everyone in Yokohama. Overall, I think BSD works best as a story when it isn't on One Piece levels world building. Like, ya'll introducing space time sword, a sword that was once an ability user, 10 great tragedies, vampires. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, recently, BSD is somewhat losing its identity, and nothing proves my theory more than this arc and the arc prior to it that being the Vampire arc. The characters are still there, yes, but world ending conflicts to me is something that doesn't really fit BSD, the World War exist but that was a past event, so I don't mind that part at all.!<

>!This one is short but is it just me or was the whole Ame-no-gozen battle and just Fyodor yapping about how it works get boring overtime? Like, I do NOT care about how Gozen's Higher-Dimensional Existence powers work. And then a new character named Akinari Ueda shows who admittedly has a nice design, but I just don't care about him as a character. He was kinda forgettable after his conclusion so I couldn’t care less if he returns or not.!<

>!Finally, I like to talk about Akutagawa. The development between him and Atsushi is amazing but Akutagawa's character itself is a little odd. After he comes back, we see him have a purpose that isn't related to Dazai which is amazing bc it shows that he's grown from him doing everything to prove his worth to Dazai to him being Aya's protector and Atsushi's genuine friend. But there's a moment where Dazai sent a message to Ango to pass on to Kunikida that Akutagawa will be punished if he didn't wear his OG coat. At first I thought it was cool to see Akutagawa back in action in his old coat but the more I look back at it, the more it rubs me the wrong way bc not only is it F*cked up, but it feels like Akutagawa's character digressed in a way bc of that, he didn't even hesitate to grab that coat back on and Dazai gave him that coat.!<

Conclusions: But yeah, this arc was complicated to rap my head around and it's nowhere near one of the best arcs in bsd for good reasons. But I found a good chunk of things to enjoy from it and I honestly hope for the best for Part 2. Ik this is a long post but don’t feel like you’re obligated to read it, I just like what my thoughts and opinions on things that’s all.

With it being 3 months since the conclusion to Part 1, I'd like to share my personal thoughts about what I like and what I didn't like about the latest arc from the series and what I think about the arc as a whole.

The Resurrection Arc (as it's called on the BSD Wiki) is an arc that after it's conclusion, I've seen A LOT of people have criticism over. If anything, the way the Resurrection Arc and the conclusion to the Vampire Arc is played out feels like something you'd see in a shonen, which is cool, but BSD isn't a Shonen. It's like Asagiri is being inspired by Shonen which isn't bad, but if you want a shonen maybe you should make a Shonen manga of your own. I don't like to play the blame game, but it feels like it's Studio Bones who gave Asagiri that influence so he can implement it into his manga, which makes no sense bc the anime should take inspiration from the manga not the other way around.!<

>!One last thing; I think it's normal for Kyoka to have crush on Atsushi bc that's how I was when I was a little kid, admiration you THINK is love. I just hope that Atsushi doesn't reciprocate said feelings bc there's a huge age gap.!<

I had ChatGPT upgrade my OC Aoi Okami. It’s not perfect due to his fingers but I feel like I can work on that myself.

Dog barking at night

Ever since last year I think, my dog, a Dutch Shepherd, would bark out on the back porch she sleeps at while in her cage. It’s something that never really happened up until 2025 and to shut her up, we would bring her in while in the cage and she would be calm and go to sleep. My dad been saying that it’s just a dog being a dog but I’ve been gentle wondering for the love of all that’s holy why it started last year and continues onward. Originally I thought it just comes with age, like wisdom and nose hairs lol, but a week or two ago, when it happened again I quietly took a look at her actions while on the other side of the window and she’s standing up facing the door that leads outside while barking and they definitely sound like annoyed barks. My small Carolina Dog, while not the barkitive type (ik that’s not a word), is in the same cage as her while on the back porch, and I see that’s she’s ONLY standing up in the cage and nothing more. I’ve came to the conclusion that something they don’t like is caching their attention, specifically the attention of our Dotch Shepherd. Lastly, it only seems to happen sometimes that she barks at what ever is catching her attention so some nights she’s just sleeping on the porch along with my Carolina Dog in the cage, but that sometimes is still only rare. My dad told me that they probably see other critters out there and I believe that but my question to myself is why now and not 5 years ago and when I go out there the moment she starts barking, I don’t see any critters and she’ll still do it.
