[Question] data recovery on iPhone 16 with failing USB IC

Hello all!

My phone has been verified to have a failing, shorting USB IC components, the repair is horridly expensive, so I wish to find if I can recover the data on it.

My idea was replacing the battery with a fully charged one, and trying to boot the phone and create a full backup.

I assume some extra steps will be needed to avoid the shorting, but is this a viable option? Does anyone have any experience with such scenarios?

Thanks!

(While technically not a repair, this process is more of a repair than it is data recovery when it comes to technical skill and know-how)

iPhone 16 pro USB IC short - data recovery

Hello all!

I have an iPhone 16 pro, a few days ago it just, stopped working.

I have since visited several repair shops that all said it was likely a short in the USB IC Controller, the repair of which takes several days and costs A LOT.

I was wondering if anyone had ever tried data recovery in such a case? If so, was it succesful? Is it possible?

Thanks!!!

Apple airpods pro 3 feedback loop

I got a new pair of airpods pro 3 about 2-3 months ago, all was fine until about a week ago, when the right airpod started having this strange thing, when I used noise cancellation mode, the right airpod felt like it switched to transparency mode with a minor delay, which if I didn’t treat quickly, would eventually cause a feedback loop that led to a sharp piercing sound in my ear.

I can usually “fix” the issue (for a few minutes, before it starts again) by switching to transparency and back to noise cancellation.

The intervals between each time this issue occurs have shortened, and the time from the start of the issue to the harsh screeching sound have shortened too.

This issue is more prevalent when I tilt my head to the right (like lying in bed with my airpods in).

Anyone got a clue what’s up? I’m probably gonna get them replaced under warranty but if there’s a good fix out there, I’m all ears!

Hello! Good day to all!
Here goes, a few years ago my family got a German citizenship thanks to my great grandfather who was a German citizen.
About a year ago it was finalized, and my mother and sister picked them up from the consulate and had the whole ceremony, however I, for personal reasons, didn’t claim it at the time, and can’t do it for another few years.
My question is this, will I be able to get my citizenship and passport whenever I want, or will I have to reapply for it and go through the whole slow and long process again?
Thanks for all replies and help in advance!!!❤️

Edit: more information!
Unfortunately I don’t have the entire lineage and timeline, I can find it in a few days when I look over the documents, but I do know the following.
My great grandfather - born ~1910 in Germany, came to Mandate Palestine ~1947, married before that to a non German.
My grandmother - born 1948 in British Mandate Palestine.
My mother - born 1974 in the same place.
Me - born 2007, same place.

Looking more into it, I found my grandfather did end up getting another citizenship, however due to my grandfather being persecuted in the holocaust, my family was able to apply and get German citizenship!
If any more info is needed, please let me know!
