Penelope was spayed on December 10, 2025, after raising four kittens. Sadly, only two survived, and both of her tortie daughters are now next in line for spaying.
She has since returned to the community she knows, where she is cared for.
Every TNVR cat represents one less cycle of unwanted litters and one more chance for a healthier life.
She'll never know what TNVR means—but we're happy she no longer has to raise litter after litter.

Hi everyone. I wanted to give you an honest update regarding our mass TNVR event yesterday, June 24, 2026. It was a long, exhausting day for both me and the colony cats, and things didn't go exactly as planned due to the reality of crowded low-cost clinics.
Because of the massive volume of rescue participants, our slot was severely delayed. The cats went way past their safe fasting window. To prevent medical shock, the organizers advised me to feed them. Only 2 out of the 7 cats ate due to high stress, while the other 5 refused. Heartbreakingly, our heavily pregnant mama cat (who was scheduled for a critical spay-abort) was among the 5 who couldn't eat due to stress. After another round of emergency fasting, the clinic could only safely clear the 2 cats who ate for surgery late in the afternoon.
The Good News:
Both girls were successfully spayed! One is now fully active, while the other is still a bit groggy but stable and recovering under my watch.
The Immediate Release:
We finally got home around 7:00 PM, exhausted and hungry. My priority was the immediate release of the 5 un-spayed community cats back to their feeding colony. They were starving from the long ordeal, and I made sure they were fed well right away.
Where the funds went:
As some of you remember, our original target was to fix 10 colony cats, but we trimmed it down to 7 females following advice from mods of r/catsofrph to fit our initial budget. Since only 2 surgeries happened, our total expenses yesterday dropped significantly (Transpo, 2 Spays, Registration, and Snacks). The remaining balance from the $143 foreign and local donations is 100% safe, locked, and fully allocated to fund the 5 remaining female cats for our next drive this coming July 2026!
Thank you for staying by our side through the chaotic realities of grassroots rescue. Attached are the photos of the recovering brave girls that were spayed yesterday. 🙏🐈✨

Despite the setback, your generosity kept us afloat! Here is the full financial breakdown of funds received on and before the drive:

Mission accomplished! 7 female cats successfully trapped tonight for tomorrow's big TNVR drive! 🐈🐾❤️
Hi everyone! Just wanted to share some amazing news tonight. After hours of waiting and setting up delicious bait, I have successfully trapped all 7 female cats from our local colony! 🎉
This includes one confirmed pregnant mama cat who will undergo a critical spay-abort procedure tomorrow to prevent more kittens from suffering on the streets. They are all safely inside the trap cages now—to be covered with blankets to keep them calm—and are ready for our early morning trip to Zootari Vet.
While the base spay surgeries are covered, I am holding onto hope to secure a small emergency medical buffer for unforeseen clinic expenses tomorrow (like take-home antibiotics, pain meds, or extra care for mama cat).
May I also asked for prayer for a peaceful, safe surgeries for all the cats.
If anyone would like to send a last-minute contribution for their post-op recovery food, recovery buffer, please feel free to drop a message or check my profile. Thank you all so much for caring! Time to get some sleep for the big day. Good night! 🙏🐈✨
Hi everyone,
I am an independent rescuer from the Philippines. The stray cat overpopulation in my neighborhood is heartbreaking. I am taking action to break the cycle.
There is an upcoming low-cost spay and neuter event this June 24, 2026, and I am trying to secure slots for 10 of our neighborhood strays. I urgently need to raise $350 USD to cover their upfront registration/reservation fees, surgeries, rabies vaccines, spay-abort emergency buffers, transportation, and recovery food.
My slots are NOT yet locked in. To officially reserve all 10 slots before the event fills up, I need to pay the fees as soon as possible. Funding 10 cats all at once out-of-pocket is too heavy for me alone, which is why I am reaching out for help.
We are now down to the final stretch! We are looking to close the remaining $207 USD funding gap to fully lock in the last cat's slot, safe transportation to the event, recovery food and emergency buffers (spay-abort).
If anyone else would like to help us close this final gap and ensure no cat gets left behind this Wednesday, any small amount goes a long way.

Hello!

Hi everyone!
I am checking in to share some incredible news and express my deepest gratitude. Thanks to three amazing, kind souls who sent donations this morning, our total funds have reached $143 USD! ❤️
As an independent rescuer here in the Philippines, seeing this global support is overwhelming. Your generosity means we have officially secured enough to cover the surgery and registration fees for 9 out of our 10 community cats for the upcoming low-cost spay neuter event this June 24!
