clay vs clearbit for data enrichment - or something better?

Our team has been handling data enrichment for our 12-person sales team and I'm getting tired of the pricing games. We've used Clearbit for about 2 years now and while the match rates are decent (somewhere around 70-75%), their pricing just keeps creeping up. Plus they bundle everything together so you're paying for features you don't even need.

Started trialing Clay last month since everyone keeps hyping it up. The workflow builder is cool but honestly feels like overkill for basic enrichment needs. We just need verified emails and phone numbers, not a full automation platform. And their credit system is confusing as hell - different actions cost different amounts and it adds up fast. My manager keeps asking me for a clean cost comparison and I genuinely can't give him one because Clay's billing is so opaque.

Anyone else dealing with this clay vs clearbit decision? Feels like these platforms are trying to be everything to everyone instead of just nailing the basics. I've been poking around a few other options including Prospeo and LeadIQ which both seem more focused, but curious what others are using for pure contact enrichment without all the bells and whistles.

Anyone tried a smart business card that actually works for sales teams?

So our sales team has been struggling with lead follow-up and honestly our current process is pretty messy. We're still using traditional business cards at events and then manually entering contacts into our CRM later, which means we lose a ton of potential leads in the process.

I've been looking into digital solutions and keep seeing "sm͏art business card" options but most seem gimmicky or don't integrate well with existing workflows. We need something that can actually handle contact exchange, lead scoring, and push everything directly to our CRM without our reps having to do manual data entry.

The team is pretty tech-savvy but we don't want something overly complicated that requires tons of training. Ideally it would work seamlessly at trade shows and client meetings.

Has anyone found a smart business card solution that actually delivers on these promises? What's been your experience with implementation and adoption across a sales team?

lead nurturing strategy beyond email drips - what else works?

quick context: been doing email drips for a while and honestly getting tired of the same old playbook. open rates are decent (somewhere around 25%) but the actual engagement feels pretty surface level.

started thinking about what lead warming really means beyond just sending more emails. we're a 12-person saas startup doing project management tools, mainly targeting mid-market companies. currently using hubspot for automation and prospeo for contact data.

what else are you all doing for lead nurturing? seen some companies do webinars, others are big on linkedin content. one competitor seems to be doing these mini product tours as gated content which is kinda interesting.

also curious about timing. how long do you typically nurture before considering a lead dead? we're at 90 days right now but feels arbitrary. my manager keeps pushing to shorten it to 60 but idk if that's just impatience talking

email personalization at scale - how do you actually do it?

i'm sending about 200 emails a day and spending way too much time trying to personalize each one. right now i pull data from linkedin, check their company news, sometimes look at recent posts. takes me like 5-10 mins per email which is insane.

tried using AI to write personalization lines but they all sound generic. "i see you're VP of Sales at Company X" type stuff that everyone ignores.

how do you personalize at scale without it sounding like trash? i've got apollo for the contact data and instantly for sending. just feels like there's gotta be a better way than spending 3 hours on cold email personalization before i can even start sending.

my manager keeps asking why my volume is so low and i'm like dude i'm literally hand-crafting these things lol

what's your workflow look like? do you just pick one personalization angle for a whole list or customize each one?

Girlies can yall tell me where you get your GLP1s from? the online prices are crazy

Heya ladies, so I'm a bit on the chubby side and just recently started exercising. It is going okay, but I really want to get on a GLP-1 to help make the whole process a little easier.

My insurance won't cover it since I am not diabetic. I checked a few local medspas and online places like Ro and Hers, but it looks like it will be at least $400 out of pocket every single month. I want to start, but I just can't justify dropping that much cash right now.

Where is everyone getting theirs from? Did you guys find a cheaper route or are you all just paying these crazy telehealth prices? Any advice helps.

is it worth it to buy leads? mixed experiences

I've burned through so many vendors at this point. Started with some cheap Fiverr lists (complete garbage), then moved to bigger providers like UpLead, Seamless.AI, even tried Apollo for a bit. The hit rate is all over the place.

Right now we're spending about $3k/month on Seamless.AI and getting maybe 20% accurate emails. Their mobile numbers are basically useless - like a 5% connect rate if we're lucky. For context we're a 30 person SaaS company targeting VP of Sales at 50-500 employee companies.

The main issue is we need both emails AND mobile numbers for our outbound motion to work. I've been testing Prospeo in parallel and their mobile connect rates are noticeably higher - getting somewhere around 25-30% - plus the data seems fresher overall. Thinking about switching but moving our whole lead generation workflow is a big commitment.

Has anyone here successfully scaled outbound by just deciding to buy b2b leads from a vendor? Or is it always better to build your own lists? My boss keeps pushing us to just purchase leads in bulk but I feel like quality matters way more than volume. What vendors are actually delivering on their accuracy claims for contact lists?
