Winchesters fried my PLX?

Shot Winchesters yesterday and this happened to my PLX light. Dude at Academy said it’s happened to him and he used gun cleaner. Yeah well, it looks the same. I got my TLR-7x somewhat looking better. But the PLX is looking like 💩. This happen to anyone else? This is on my G19.6 and the Streamlight is on my Shield X.

UPDATE: Olight is sending me a new one. It’s a problem with the seal and not enough of a barrier at the top of the light. Apparently a known problem when on certain gun manufacturers and certain ammo rating. Hence why I could clean the Streamlight. The PLX is burned on the inside of the lens.

So for you trolls in the comments, there’s the real answer. Hope this helps others with a PLX and encounter this.

How do you “properly” holster carry in your car?

I’m trying to find a comfortable positioning in my car while I drive. Maybe my love handles are growing too much for my Glock 19.6. But I’ve also looked at the vehicle mounts. Any tips would be great!

Went with the Holosun 407 X3 over the Osight XE

Appreciate everyone's suggestions and the route to take on which optic(s) to choose. After receiving the Holosun 407C X3, I've chosen that over the Osights (even the XE). The X3 sits clean on the 19.6 and looks good. Functionality is easy and clarity (for me anyways) is much better. Window size also seems bigger. I think the frame/housing of the XE from Osight was just too thick/bulky making the window seem small. Plus, the deck height of the XE was too high and too high overall. The X3 deck is much slimmer compared to the XE. Thought I had a better pic with the XE but if you can make out from the pic at the range, that's it mounted.

Oh, and I'm keeping the transparent Sig Romeo Pro. At least for the range.

Following Up On My Optics Dilemma

Alright so lots of recommendations I received for my 19.6 and I appreciate y’all. I am parting ways with the Osights (the SE, K, and XE). The XE was “ok” to view through but the micro optics, forget. My Holosun 507 X3 will arrive Monday. But leaving the range today, the Sig Romeo RS Pro (clear) caught my eye. I grabbed it for $20 less than online. Mounted it and now I don’t like the look of it. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Was giving me old school gaming controller vibes from back in the day, but I may sell it somewhere (no returns policy at the range). However, I absolutely love the window and dot clarity. The glass is awesome as well. Not sure if to make it a range optic. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Indecisive on Optics

I’m not trying to break the bank here with my first optics. I have the Osight K micro 6 MOA (red dot) and the Osight SE micro 6 MOA (green dot). I like that they sit clean on the slide of the 19.6 but annoyed with the gap in front and behind the optic’s base to the side. I’m considering sending both back for that reason but also because the buttons suck on the SE and the red dot sucks on the K.

If I do, should I dive into the Osight XR or a Holosun? I don’t mind the overlap/overhang on the sides of the optic over the slide I guess. But a slightly bigger window and not such ugly slide placement would be nice.

Getting Into the Gun Community with my G19 Gen 6

Went through a nasty divorce where I finally got my balls back. Thus, got my first Glock. Wanted the Gen 5 in Coyote Brown, but I really liked the feel and grip of the Gen 6. Glock hasn't released it in brown yet, so I "settled" for black. Love the look with the Olight PLX and figured I'd add the Osight K micro. Never shot with optics before, so any advice would be greatly appreciated! Also, got Rounded holsters being that they are one of a few that make the molding for a PLX light but they work great so far. I had the WarriorLand light at first but didn't like the switch and not so much the look so I sent it back.

Considering a trigger update because I've seen some YouTubers complaining about the trigger, but figured I'd wait until I get some time/rounds from it first. Thoughts?
