Help running a club 😭🙏🏳️‍🌈

haiii!!

so this year, I’m the president of my schools ally club, and as such it’s my job to make agendas and shape the club in the vision of the people (democracy rocks!! [yes, that’s a rtc reference lmao])

anywho, our first meeting is in a few weeks and obviously I want to make a safe, inclusive space on campus for members of the lgbtq community before we do anything else, since our school is pretty conservative (I’ve had teachers wear maga hats…)

and again, I’m obviously gonna ask “my patrons” (idk what else to call them) what they want the club to be, whether we focus on advocacy or education or wtv.

my question to yall is this: what would you guys want your high school ally club to look like and do?

Whelp, I don’t have a father anymore 💔

For context, reference my previous post to this sub

So yesterday I told my dad that I needed him to accept me as his daughter and to use my pronouns, and I would give him as much time as needed and I could correct him if need be

his response? “it will take time. you’re a boy, and there’s only two genders. I don’t want that stuff around my kids. I love you. I’m not saying no, but I’m not saying yes.”

So it might look like maybe he’d change and realize how important this is, but he won’t. he’s proven in the past he is pretty much lacks the capacity to change or to follow through on things he says. Sooooooooo yeah 😀

got some cute new red converse tho so that’s a plus 😀😝

Need advice on my dad TW: sh/s**c*d*

Haii. A bit of context before my question: I’ve been out as trans for almost a year, my moms side is supportive but my dad can only really use my name and as of right now won’t use any pronouns or accept me as his daughter, I was recently admitted then discharged from a psych hospital for si because of my dysphoria which was triggered at my dads, and I haven’t seen him since a week before my first ER visit (about a month ago).

This weekend, when I see him again, I have a really important question to ask him: can he find it in his heart to accept me as his daughter and to try to use my preferred pronouns (she/her, they/them)

My question to y'all is this: is it okay for me to cut ties with him if he wont even try to accept me as his daughter or use my pronouns? Being misgendered and perceived as a guy is very triggering for me, especially right now, but he’s still my father and I know he does love me and my sis.

idk tho 🤷‍♀️
