I'm on Fedora 44 KDE on laptop and desktop.

Laptop: official install from the website, log in, works perfect.

Desktop: Official install, log in, no internet.
I also tried the config files imported into network manager, no internet.

I am remembering I had used Cyberghost vpn once but it wasn't supported, might settings have been left over from this? Still new to Linux.

I contacted the support first: I did all the steps they asked till now: not using flatpack, clean up, install official, the tests below. Thx

I have been trying to split my flac album into it's 14 tracks.
ffmpeg does wrong duration, all tracks as long as the album
flacon says it copies all tags, easytag sees exactly 0 of those and I have to convert from wav back to flac
shntools didn't do anything
ffcuesplit does only 44khz, my album is 192khz

How do do this please?

After updating to 6.7 on Fedora 44 I have these two icons "See Available Updates".
I used to have Dicover to the right of System Settings and nothing else.

When I click either of the two it opens Discover.
I had deleted one from favorites, then the first didn't react to left or right clicks.
After a reboot I could delete it from favorites and add Discover. A reboot later both icons are back.

Stop this, it's pathetic.

The page is down for me and others, I know why and not complaining, but is it possible to have us seed MakeMKV?

Edit: I don't know if I worded this so bad: I don't want a torrent link to it, I don't want an archive by user x.

I am asking if it makes sense, is doable to have the devs make a torrent and distribute it here, which we then seed.

"Site works for me" is great but it does not for many people. Even some people seeding would be a backup for this issue.

Trying to buy a key, my banking app (Sparkasse) says the details do not match.
I have checked three times, I entered everything correct, what do I do?

Has anybody from Germany bought a key (with Sparkasse)?

I have an external BU40N (4K) and an internal BH16NS40 (FHD)
When the 4K is ripping and the FHD is done I eject the FHD and put in new disc, when I then close the FHD the window of the 4K crashes.

I have set up so that I choose which drive the instance of makemkv uses, select one and the other in another instance.

they can both rip at the same time but I would have to wait for 4K do be done before I can use FHD again, that's like an hour when it'S doing a 4K.

I am on Fedora 44, Makemkv Flatpack, is this the problem? Does the drive passthrough break?

I am still new to Linux and have not yet built from source, should I do that?

Any other setting?

I had Kate in Bazzite, it highlighted all occurrences of selected text.

Now on Fedora 44 I find this in selection->find and select all occurrences, but this only works once, I want it be be always active.

I googled and asked an Ai but didn't get anything but lies and "find and replace"

Hi, still quite new to both Linux (Bazzite) and MakeMKV which I want to install, this is still more of a Bazzite question I think.

I had the Flatpack from the store, found out it's not official and wanted to install MakeMKV from soure.

This seems involved on Bazzite.

So what I understand is I need a Distrobox with Ubuntu for example
In there I install the prerequisites

Then make Makemkv

1 Is it fine to use BoxBuddy flatpack to organize this and further Distroboxes or will that cause problem on Bazzite?

2 Downloading the 2 MakeMKV files and unpacking

I guess I would download and unpack them in the filesystem in the box, but it's only terminal which I have very little experience in.

Is this the correct approach? I will then try to figure it out.
