Lost track of 2hrs last night…

My 4m old sleeps in her crib beside me for her first stretch (3-5hrs) then we cosleep for the rest of the night and she wakes 2-3 times. Last night she woke at 0145. I fed her side lying, did some Reddit scrolling then got her into her safe position for sleep. She was squirming and not really falling asleep. I looked at the clock and it was almost 4am. I was so confused. I even went back and looked at the screen unlock on my phone. I unlocked it at 147 when she woke in her crib. I have no idea what happened and how 2hrs passed. I must have either slept while she was feeding or after I got her into her safe position but I don’t remember. I don’t ever sleep while she’s feeding because she’s laying on her side and very close to me.

The four month regression is upon us and now I don’t trust myself. I would love advice on how to get her in her crib all night. And also advice on how to set myself up better if crib transfers fail. She will only feed side lying at night so getting out of bed hasn’t worked for us.

How do I get my four year old to eat dinner

My daughter will be 4 in October. Our biggest parenting struggle is the pace at which she eats dinner/ refusing to eat dinner. She’s always been a small slow eater. Shes healthy.

However. Every night we struggle to get dinner into her. She takes usually over an hour. Yes she does better with foods she loves but our rule is that we provide her food that we both know she will consume but also that is healthy and is generally what we are eating too, with appropriate modifications. If we put it in front of her we are not willing to change it as a boundary. If she eats all her dinner she can have snacks of her choice.

She is a mix of distracted, uninterested and just slow as a sloth. Even with food she loves like pizza. We have to remind her every bite. We’ve tried all sorts of of things. Timers. Not socializing with her until she’s done. Spoon feeding. Etc etc

Would love a useful strategy that is calm, authoritative and positive. Boundaries are important to us.

8 week old still pooping 8-12 times a day

My daughter is 8.5w old. Healthy. Has gained four lbs since birth. She has not consolidated her poops yet. As a new born she would have more than 12. Every fart was a shaft kinda thing. So Maybe it’s slightly less now? But still a ton.

But my only real issue is she’s waking up at night because of poops. She will get a 4-5hr stretch. Feed then go back to sleep. after that she’s up every 1-2hrs grunting and pooping. I feed her back to sleep because that’s what she’s used to and I don’t want to risk trying to rock her back to sleep and being up for an hour or two as opposed to 30mins.

My question is. In the absence of mucous or blood (she’s never had either) would stopping dairy in my diet help with simply excessive poops? Is there anything I can do. Or is it just time.

Thank you!

I want to start using some sort of loofah in the shower but I find them kind of gross?

I’ve always just used my hand. Unless there’s visible dirt then I’ll use a facecloth. I’m not a very sweaty person

Interested in using some sort of gentle exfoliating cleaning tool but worried about the skin build up, mold etc.

Any advice on products?

8 week old won’t take a bottle. But I desperately need a longer sleep stretch

My 8 week old won’t take a bottle. We EBF. She’s actually quite a calm baby. Not much crying. But she’s not getting long stretches of night sleep like my first who also refused a bottle. She’s gotten some five hour sleeps but not consistently so I don’t jump at the chance to fall right asleep. Often she’s getting 2-3hrs. And can take 45mins to 2hrs to fall back asleep. Comfort feeds and walking around the house.

I feel like I need one 8hr sleep. But how do I get this? Husband happy to help but he works and take our first to daycare in the am. Plus he can’t feed or comfort feed, so what’s the point?

Tomorrow I plan on trying to reduce her daytime sleep.

How are we managing car/car seat cries?

My daughter is 5 weeks. Obviously too young to self soothe and she requires responsive parenting. She screams bloody murder in the car. Not the whole drive. But intermittently for anywhere from 1-10minutes. No puking but can get very distraught. My feeling is that if I pull over, take her out, comfort… once I put her back the cycle repeats… so I’ve just been white knuckling and getting to my destination. I’ve used rain sounds over the speaker, shushing, talking to her etc.

Would love everyone’s thoughts. It kills me that she thinks I’m just not attending to her. And she’s just eventually giving up. Is this bad for her?

How to improve slowwww eating in a toddler. Not picky eating.

My 3.5 y/o daughter is the slowest eater on this planet. Dinner can take 1.5hrs… with constant encouragement. And she doesn’t even finish most nights. She’s not very picky. It’s not due to taste. It seems like lack of hunger/interest. Maybe control? But she’s actually a very calm, agreeable kid in every other situation.

She will eat at reasonable pace only if she has missed the previous meal. She does have low iron 12 (up from 6). So I would really like to increase her food consumption. She’s 32-33lbs. She’s slim but chubby cheaks and healthy in appearance.

We have tried a visual timer. We have tried just ignoring it and if she doesn’t eat she goes to bed hungry. We tried bribes with dessert. We’ve yelled and done all the wrong things too… the timer worked for a week or so.. kinda.

Help. Dinner time is a nightmare. Would love to have a meal without someone being grumpy as hell. Or it ending in tears.
