Are 1/4” gaps okay with 1x6 installed under sheathing?
I cut the rot on my eaves back before installing all the plywood; lesson learned. Now I’m taking exact measurements of all the plywood sheathing but some of the gaps at the corners are about 1/4” instead of an 1/8”. I have 1x6 under the sheathing, from what I understand having 1/4” gaps is fine but just double checking
Looking for recommendations for startup rankings/resources
Looking for resources to guide me through my first Superflex startup draft. I’ve been referencing Fantasypros, Draft sharks and Flock fantasy (all free resources) but would like to branch out to include any others that may be useful. Not against paying for resources either, please let me know any you have used and would reccommend.
Being new to superflex im mostly wodneirng when to take QB, drafting 12/12 with a 3RR.
Do I need to replace these sheets of plywood? They have had some water damage but relatively intact. Cut out or replace the whole sheet?
Brides parents not offering to help with wedding but throwing an engagement party?
My fiancé and I are finalizing our budget, $35k-$40k for a wedding in a HCOL area. To be clear I’m not upset that her family won’t contribute besides offering to grow flowers for the ceremony, but my parents (who are helping) are genuinely confused as to why they are throwing an engagement party for us instead of offering to help pay for part of the wedding.
A home thrown engagement party is not a massive cost but to my parents it feels a bit insulting. My fiancé also has a huge family, most of the guest list is comprised of her family. Are my parents over reacting?
Sheathing buckling and rotting, time to re-roof?
Shockingly this roof has never leaked but seems like it’s well past its life

Experiences with 1-hour rated wall 2' from the property line, CA residential
I have an ADU on my property I purchased several years ago that I am bringing up to code/legalizing. It's a detached garage converted by a previous owner in 2006 and was permitted as a "game room with full bath." I pulled the old record and plans but it's useless, literally just a front elevation of the ADU with some framing notes.
The main issue is the South and West walls are 2' from my property lines and my AHJ is telling me to call out these walls as existing 1-hr rated or to provide 1-hr rated assemblies. I have yet to open up the wall fully to see if there is drywall on the exterior side behind the siding but there's no way...likely 1/2" drywall, 2x4 stud with fiberglass batts and the teardrop wood siding.
According to my research, this wood-sided wall being less than 3' from the property line complicates things quite a bit. My architect works in civil and is doing me a favor, he doesn't know much about UL-listed assemblies or other avenues to get a 1-hr rating. At this point I'm wondering if it's even feasible to get a 1-hr rating without tearing off all the siding, something I'd like to avoid. Also, part of the south wall is a floor to ceiling tile shower, if that affects how ratings are calculated.

Old laptop died….searching for a replacement workstation. Seems like this a good deal, looking for confirmation!
local store is offering this refurbished build with a 1 year warrant, was previously a workstation for a state agency. This might even be too much RAM and storage but seems too good to pass up, they would do $550
Nutribullet blender, works and is clean. Buttons are pushed in but likely can be fixed
80 Series going for $20k now?
I’m just curious if this is realistic, there are only a handful of 80 series cruisers for sale at the moment (in the US) and they seem to be way overpriced. Has anyone purchased one recently that is willing to share the sale price? I have a somewhat clean LX450 I’m considering listing soon
