Running errands and going to stores while potty training

My son is pretty good with going potty at home and at school, however, we do lots of errands on the weekends, swim class, family gatherings and I’m just wondering what do you do about like the bathrooms? The toilets aren’t very friendly at the store for toddlers, even at his swim class.
We have admittedly had him in pull ups when we go out but I really want to stop that and just have him fully potty trained.
I need all the tips and tricks!

Comparing when it comes to motherhood

Do you ever question if you are a good mom?
I have two toddlers and my one friend just had a baby. I saw she posted in a support group about tongue ties to see if she could get her newborn clipped for feeding purposes.

My son had a tongue ties when he was a newborn and we tried the whole breastfeeding but honestly it did not work out and he was not doing well with eating. We ending up switching to formula and it was just a traumatic time for me after a very traumatic birth that I didn’t have time to research about toungue ties. I guess I feel like a bad mom for not looking into it more so my breastfeeding journey could continue. It was just really tough and kind of embarrassing that I didn’t push through I guess.

This weekend I was over a friends house and we have toddlers almost the same age. My baby is bottle fed and she is still on the bottle because it comforts her. My son was around the same age when we got rid of the bottle (15 months) and honestly I’m holding on a tad longer until my toddlers dentist appointment. I could feel her eyes on me probably wondering what time doing. I did it for my son because it comforted him and they both do not take pacifiers. He stopped at 15 months so a little over a year and was fine……

I guess small things like this really get to me. Overall, my kids are happy, cared for, and loved beyond measure but I still let these comparisons get to me.

I guess I’m just venting now

How am I doing? Just a young mom trying to see where I can get better with finances.

I’m 31 and a mom of a 3 year old and 1 year old
HYSA: 37k
Investments: 3k
Roth IRA: 40k
401k: 60k
HSA: 3k (my husbands)
Credit card debt: 200? Pay it off each month
Student loans: 70k but will be forgiven in 5 years (PSLF) my monthly payment is 22 bucks thankfully
In the market for a new car and plan to use a down payment of 9k
Accounts for my kids: 5k for my 3 year old and a 5k 529 plan. 3k for my 1 year old and a 3k 529 plan so far. I save about 25 bucks a month in their HYSA for them each for a rainy day.
We have other savings of about 7-8k for house projects we are saving up for.

How am I doing?

MMR vaccine

Why are so many people online resisting the MMR vaccine? I’m a mom of two littles and always always always got every single vaccine for them.
A family member reposted something from a Instagram mom about how dangerous the MMR vaccine is…….anyone have any literature or research on this that I can read?
What are the side effects and how rare?

First off thank you to this awesome community! I’ve been having some drama and things at work and posting here a lot so thank you everyone.

Well, I just want to know if you all think this is a big deal. So basically I work at an online school. Today a student emailed in and complained about a live session with a professor saying it was awful. I went back to listen to it and didn’t find anything awful about it? I escalated to my boss to see what we should do and if I should escalate. He said yes so I sent to the program director as directed and he said to copy the professor but I honestly forgot that part. We normally don’t do that.
I basically just said the student didn’t provide any information at all and that I’m not seeing what’s bad about it.

The program director then copies me, my boss, the professor, the ENTIRE advising team, as well as many many higher ups and just said did I agree with you and the professor did an amazing job which was very nice of him but I’m just wondering does any of this make me look bad? Thankfully all I said was very direct that I’m not seeing anything that was bad and didn’t know what the student was talking about.

My mind is racing so just need some reassurance. My husband has been very moody lately and is very tired of me talking about work

Moms in higher up positions- I’m in an assistant director role and it’s been…….a lot.

The role in general is a lot, meeting after meeting but also I’m doing a lot too and just haven’t really delighted enough like I should have. Anyway there’s a lot I want to know. Mostly, do things blow up or is that just my work and my role? We have large team chats where issues arise and it’s like everyone runs to me to put out a fire and it’s a lot. Constant fires.
I work in higher education so nothing is life or death but still a lot. It’s starting to creep into my personal life and I’m not as present with my toddlers after work because I’m thinking about work or zoning out thinking about work.

So I want to know, what do you do when things blow up, how do you handle? What do you do for yourself when work is just a lot? Or is this just my role?

We are an online higher ed school so very niche.
My team is……….challenging. I have 5 people under me and they just haven’t very interesting personalities. All of them. It’s a lot.

Anyway just trying to get some clarity on how to handle things, how to handle the constant stress and not have burnout. I have like 17 different teams chats where people are chatting me all day or issues arise and I need to take care of them. I can’t push that work off because I’m the assistant director so I need to look at all escalations. It’s mentally a lot.

I’ve been SUPER stressed at work and really overwhelmed. I’m a working mom of 2 toddlers. So much so that my husband said it is starting to affect our marriage and intimacy. I didn’t realize it was bothering him so much but I’ve been worried lately about work, messing up, getting fired, and just a lot of other things that he told me we have only been intimate 2 times a month for the past few months…..

I honestly didn’t realize. He mentioned a therapist and I had a great one before I got pregnant the second time but I just don’t have the funds or the money to see a therapist. I’m going to start hitting the gym as that has always helped me manage stress.

I don’t know, how do you working moms keep things intimate? Or is it normal for marriages to go through this?

I work full time, but I would really like another 200-300 dollars a month. I work remotely right now, so I am trying to find something that I can do to bring extra money in that dos not require a ton of time or effort. I know that sounds crazy. I just don’t want to be away from my kids any more than I already am.
Would love an extra 200-300 just to have to save or to pay for extra things like classes for my kids.
I’m really open to anything.

I have all the schooling done right now for being a real estate agent, but passing the exam is a whole other story and it’s been hard. My school expires next year so I’m just scared I won’t be able to get it in enough time. I think I may schedule my test today or tomorrow so I can go and take the exam just to see what’s on the test. Any real estate agents out there?

Hello, 31, married with 2 small toddlers jut trying to save what I can. Daycare is killing us a bit.

I have a normal 401k with work and a Roth IRA combined, I have a little over 100k saved up so far so not much. I plan on adding way more once the kids are out of daycare.

Should I open up a random investment account? I have a few extra grand I can throw in there and have about 50 bucks a month extra I can throw in.

I’m not trying to retire super early but possibly 60 or maybe 63?

Any tips or help would be soo greatly appreciated!!
