Boundaries between Cavil and Ellen (S3 Ep1) *spoiler*

I was watching Season 3 Episode 1 of BSG (Occupation). In the first five minutes, you see Cavil doing the twist/swirly with Ellen.

In later Season 4, it was revealed that Ellen is one of the final five, and is essentially the “mother” of the Cylon models. In fact, Ellen named Cavil as “John” in memorandum of her father.

Okay, it’s established that Ellen had no Cylon final five until mid Season 4. But, certainly Cavil maintained his memory. So what the heck did I witness??? What was the psychological weirdness (not necessarily the correct term) that happened here?

If one considers Cavil with the identity position as a robot, then one can see a robot literally fracking a human. If we juxtapose Cavil as an entity with humanistic attributes, then we see it as an abhorrent act.

I don’t know what to think. Thoughts? I’m trying to unpack it as I just realized this when I went on my rewatch.

What if FF6 was remade with a tighter storyline, reducing the 20-year argument?

Long term lurker to this Reddit. FF6 was my first RPG for the SNES. I also want a remake of FF6 but evidently with 14 characters and their side quests, I can see why there is much hesitation.

I ask, *What if the storyline could be tightened? What characters could be removed or reduced to make the remake a financially and timely successful remake?*

My take:

Characters essential to the storyline:

- Terra, Edgar, Celes, Setzer, Strago

Mid-Level characters:

- Sabin, Cyan, Locke

Could probably cut or minimized to tighten narrative scripts (although I’d be sad):

- Shadow, Gau, Relm, Mog, Gogo, Umaro

Why not Locke as an essential. I suppose anyone could help Terra escape and lead themselves to Figaro castle, and this leading to the Returners.

I’d love some thoughts, feedback, constructive criticism.

That said, I have a huge love for the game. I play and replay it. But I can also see the financial and production side of it… likely not having a remake treatment because of the significant side stories and characters. Though, with a more succinct story, it could be a reality as the storyline is much shorter than FF7.

Hello! I just changed my tires (winter to all seasons on different rims that use the same TPMS sensors from last season). Normally done it at the dealership but got sick and tired of getting overcharged for tire swaps.

I attempted a TPWS reset but that didn’t work. Can someone please offer me a solution?

Thank you ahead of time!

I’ve known with my mentor advisor for over 17 years and he is largely the reason why I pursued graduate studies, much less doctoral. Therefore, there is a great deal of loyalty and reverence I have for him.

Over the years, I know he takes on way too much. When I did my masters, there were times he went pure ghost. Nevertheless, I completed my thesis, albeit at a snail’s pace. Now, the situation is repeating again. Sent him three emails over a month timespan. Silence. I do receive prompts that he checks my messages using outlook.

I know my situation is not an isolated one. I also realize that professors have a lot on their plate. I’m kind of in a time crunch as I recently left a full time position to push towards the doctoral studies so I can switch career. Forces outside my control precipitated on me leaving my previous job. I did reiterate to him that I need the doctoral done asap due to the financial crisis I’m in.

Thank you for your input, advice, and positive vibes in this difficult time.
