What do you think of my new concept pen?

It is made of black polished ebonite with aluminium bands and chrome clip and finial cap with triple thread cap. It is a first run. All constructive criticism is most welcome.

Capped length 175mm, uncapped 140mm diameter 14mm.

Thanks

Argentine Lignum gold plated fountain pen

I love the way this wood is so hard and with it's dual tones it polishes up beautifully.

Shipping issue to France

My shopify store has blocked sales to France of my diamond cast maker pens because they contain diamonds which are restricted for export to France.

Anyone else had any issues?

Woukd a boring tool with Mt2 shank to use on a wood lathe for pen turning be worthwhile?

I'm contemplating the addition of a mini lathe for pen turning. I'm thinking that it will allow me to be more accurate when doing tenons for threading with taps and dies. Would a boring tool do the same thing on my existing wood lathe?

Which is most popular, multi or single start threads for the cap /barrel union?

The next phase of my investigation is the mechanics of a pen.

Is it better to have a multi start thread for the barrel and cap giving less threads and less turns of the cap when putting on or removing?

Or a simple single thread which means more turns to add the cap but is better at preventing the cap from coming loose accidentally?

Does it make a difference to your decision when purchasing a pen?

Which do you prefer, resin/acrylic, wood or ebonite pen bodies.

Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone who took time to reply to my last question about prefered nibs. I gathered very good information.

In summary I need to offer a wide choice of nibs at the point of sale.

The next questions is about the body of a pen.

Which materials do you prefer and why?

Is your choice wood or resin or maybe ebonite?

Do like solid or multi coloured pens? Which colours?

Do you want a one of a kind unique pen or the same design in different finishes?

Do you want a clip?

Lots of question, I know.

Thanks again.

Which size nib is the communities most go to?

As a pen maker I always want to make pens that I love but the nib is your choice.

I'm trying to put together a favorites chart.

Is it #5 or #6 or other and then extra fine EF, Fine F, Medium M, Broad B or Extra Broad EB.

Thanks for your help ❤️

This what I know so far. Case is made by Joseph Erard SA.

I've had it in the back of a draw for over 30 years. I think it is 1950s. Fully working movement but everything else in a serious need of help.

Any info about the watch would be great. Value as is would be a BONUS.

Gold (18k) weight is about 4g.

Thanks in advance.
