Fruit Fly by Josh Silver was disappointing
This is one of those thrillers that’s been getting a ton of over the top rave reviews that I’m often suspicious of. It’s been described as both a thriller and weird girl lit which are my two favourites but sadly, the writing isn’t very good. The author writes a lot of YA and it reads like that. I think it would have been a lot more compelling with a stronger writer. I was never tempted to DNF which is a positive but I didn’t like it much. The ending was especially meh.

flea/tick meds suggestions?
Duncan got tremors from the tablet, my vet said to stop immediately. I tried the topical (Advantix) twice and it made him so itchy and his skin red. Any other options to try?

It Could Have Been Her by Lisa Jewell. Her newest one is pretty good, much better than the previous one.
The audiobook has a full cast of terrific narrators including the dreamy James Norton. I thought it was a decent thriller, a bit slow but overall 3.5 stars.

Last One Out by Jane Harper. It pains me to say that this is not up to her standards.
I love all of her previous books and was excited for this new release. I don’t think I’d even call it a thriller. It’s way too long, the story is boring and nothing really happens.
