I’m really obsessed with getting a classic Chanel bag. I don’t want to spend 10k€ on it so I’d love to find a good deal for a vintage piece (in good condition), especially one before 2007 so it has gold-plated hardware.
Any recommendations of sites that might not be so known but trustworthy? I only know Vestiaire Collective and I find most of the pieces quite overpriced tbh…

I turned 30 recently and I’m seriously considering getting myself a Louis Vuitton Neverfull as a gift.
I know it’s very common and kind of everywhere, which is what makes me hesitate… but at the same time, I’ve loved it for years and it just feels right. Like, if I’m going to mark the moment with something, this is the one that keeps coming back to me.
On the other hand, my family is very practical. We’re comfortable, but they would never understand spending that much on a bag where the intrinsic value is so far from the price. So part of me feels a bit weird about it, even if it’s my own money.
So I’m torn:
Is it too basic / overdone?
Or is it actually a classic for a reason and worth it if I genuinely love it?
Would you go for it as a milestone gift, or save the money for something “more sensible”?
