Question from a sporadic player

I discovered this game around 2011 and have played it on and off every 2 years or so since. (horrible consistency ik). I practically have to relearn some of the mechanics whenever I comeback. The last time I had a serious long-play game was 2022.

I’ve been itching to play again but the pay-to-win elements of the game seem to have expanded judging from this sub. Is it worth coming back or is goldmark 100% required to have a semi-decent game now? The whole generals thing is very new to me.

What’s your favorite mission?

I previously asked this question here about a year and a half ago. Since so much has changed and been improved I am curious to see if people’s thoughts have changed.

I thought it’d be interesting to see what people on this game like. I personally like it when someone’s blasting edm. I do enjoy some throwbacks too.

Note: I DO NOT MIC SPAM OR ENOURAGE IT, but I do recognize that it’s part of the game nonetheless.
