My main concern is English 12. I’m not sure whether I should take it in my school with one of the teachers I prefer, or take it online through something like NIDES or SIDES and finish it with a supervised final exam or nothing (EFP 12 NIDES)

At my school, there are only a few English 12 teachers, and some of them are known for bad marking, which makes me nervous about my final grade. On the other hand, there are also really supportive teachers I’d actually like to have, but those classes are usually full or give priority for Grade 12 students.. I just don’t want it to be a situation where I ask the counsellor and she doesn’t tell me which English 12 teachers are available to choose from.

I’m trying to figure out the best option because I also want to graduate early, but I don’t want to hurt my university or college admissions JUST by taking English 12 online. I’m also unsure whether universities care if it’s taken online or in-person or if they even ask. I just don’t want to end up with something like a 70% in English 12 because that would be really annoying.

Did anyone go to church on Sundays while at HMCS Quadra? How was it? Which church did they take you to, and how far away was it? What about transportation? Does anyone know about the church services at Quadra? I have no idea how it works, so if you know, please DM me.

Also, do you have to fill out a Time Off Authorization form just to go to church? Who should I let know if I want to attend a church service? How long is the church service?

What are some things you should bring to a sea-related summer camp that aren't listed on the packing checklist? Also, what documents do you need to bring with you? Do you have to bring the packing checklist, and did they actually check your bags when you arrived?

Which online school in BC is best for English 12 (NIDES, SIDES, EBUS, VLN, or SCIDES)? How are the final exams like? How did you do supervisions?

How is the Sail program different from the Ship's Boat Operator course? Which one has more badges to earn, or which one offers more opportunities? I already know most about Sail program, but what about SBO? Are you allow to redo tests in SBO and how does that works?

I'm going on a 4-week course, so I'm also wondering how people usually deal with homesickness. How did you make friends when you first got there? What's the daily schedule like? Is it training every day, or do you get any time off during the course?

Also, is there ever any time available to use a computer for online school work, or is the schedule usually too busy for that?

Hi, I was thinking about taking Food Studies online this summer through one of the online schools. Does anyone know which school has the least amount of cooking and is the fastest to complete? Also, do you think it's worth taking? My school doesn't usually offer Food Studies for Grade 11 and 12 students, so I'm considering doing it online instead.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any online schools that are still accepting registrations. I already know about NIDES and SIDES—are there any other schools I should look into?

Guys, do I get a badge for completing PCOC and ROC-M? Some people in my corps have told me that you do, while others have said you don’t. I’ve also heard that it can be beneficial or count toward certain requirements during phase training. Also, are there any resources or study materials I can use to prepare for the ROC-M course? By the way, what does the Statement of Swimming Ability mean in the SCOP program?
