Called 911 and someone got arrested — will they know it was me?

Someone told me they were about to be actively harmed so I called 911. The dispatcher took my last name and phone number, and the person was subsequently arrested. I’m concerned about retaliation. Will they find out who reported it?

30-40k Wedding Venue for 50-75 guests

I'm looking for a venue that is similar to Windrift Hall (estate-ish vibes, willows, maybe a lake or some body of water).

I am hoping that 30-40k could include almost all wedding costs but there is some flexibility. We're definitely open to a weekday or Sunday wedding if it keeps costs lower.

Odd head sensation: like being hit inside my head, but no headache.

Today I was in the middle of a work meeting, actively talking, when I suddenly had the strangest sensation I've ever experienced.

It wasn't painful at all. The best way I can describe it is that it felt like someone had suddenly smacked me inside my head with an object. It wasn't localized to one side—it just felt like it happened "inside" my head.

The initial "thud" seemed to last about 1–2 seconds, and then it felt like there were very brief fading "ripples" or aftershocks for another couple of seconds. It wasn't really a vibration, but that's the closest comparison I can think of.

I never lost consciousness or stopped talking. I actually kept speaking through it, but internally I was thinking, "What on earth was that?" I didn't have any vision changes, weakness, numbness, dizziness, ringing in my ears, or headache afterward. I just felt startled for a few seconds because it was so bizarre.

A few other details:

  • It happened a few minutes after eating.
  • I was speaking continuously when it happened.
  • I didn't move my head or eyes right beforehand.
  • I've had headaches on and off over the past few days and I have a history of migraines (including aura years ago), but this didn't feel like any headache I've ever had because there was zero pain.

Has anyone experienced something like this? If so, did you ever find out what it was?

Hi everyone! I’m in the very early stages of planning a destination wedding in France and would really appreciate any advice or recommendations.

We’re hoping to keep the total budget somewhere in the 30 to 50k range, ideally closer to the lower end if possible, with around 40 to 50 guests. I would love a venue that can either accommodate most guests on site or is close to a town where people can easily stay nearby.

Because I’m planning from abroad, I’m really drawn to venues that are somewhat all inclusive or that handle a lot of the logistics, especially catering and meals throughout the stay. I want to make sure my guests are fed so I have a fear I'm going to screw something up. I am open to bringing in vendors, but would love to minimize how much I need to coordinate myself. But if you had a venue and vendor you loved for catering please drop!! I want any advice

Accessibility is also important. Ideally it would be within about an hour of a major airport or at least not too difficult for guests to get to.

If you have gotten married in France or attended a wedding there, I would love to hear:

  • Venues you loved or considered
  • Vendors that were easy to work with
  • What ended up being harder than expected
  • Anything you wish you knew going in

Thank you so much!
