Some questions I have are:

1. How hard are studies in STEM majors? I heard like half the class fail to graduate, and even if you manage to graduate, maintaining high gpa is another issue
2. how are the internships like? For instance, Waterloo is known extremely well for their coops, but they say you're not guaranteed having great coops in waterloo, YOU need to try to keep in touch and contact big tech companies, and the school doesn't match you?
3. How are the employments like? yes i've seen uni websites promoting that 95% of their students succeed in finding jobs after graduation, but I want to hear from real engineers who have made it. Also, I heard engineering occupations are extremely unstable??
4. Is majoring engineering still worth it? or would you switch to medical, such as nursing, if you had the chance to??

I'm a high school student currently attending Canadian high school looking ahead of college applications this winter.

i understand you might be uncomfortable with this question but it's for a project and i assume it'd be good if i state ur name and maybe the company or the industry ur currently in (maybe linkedin?) to prove that ur actually in concrete related, but if you're uncomfortable with it, it's totally fine.

Anyways, the questions are, i did my own research, and i found out concretes are produced with quicklime, and the main chemical process for producing quicklime is called calcination : CaCO3(S) -> CaO(S) + CO2 (S)

1. How exactly does this chemical process occur in real world? I'm assuming the process is not as simple as it appears theoratically

What are some universities in BC or across Canada that has decent size of scholarships provided to international students?

By decent size I’m referring to about 100k

I know that UBC doesnt rlly provide scholarships towards International students but I heard UVic provides a lot? Same with UofT?

Also what grades or ec should you be having to be selected for these scholarships?

so i have an ap exam tmrw and i started today. yes im cooked, im genuinely going to get a 1.

However, ive taken other AP Exams, and hopefully I don't get 1s in them.

I was told that when I send ap scores to Unis for admission, collegeboard sends all the exams ive taken in my life, including the 1 ill be getting tmrw. but someone else told me i could just self report and not include the ones i don't want to.

do schools in canada like UBC, UofT, Waterloo, etc... allow me to self report my exam scores?
Also, if everyone can just self report, how come some people cancel and withdraw their scores? are they just dumb? also, you can just lie about ur scores and say you got 5s on everyting if u can self report. no?

in case self reporting doesn't work.. i should prob just cancel my scores, but can i cancel them after receiving my scores back? or before?

is this allowed? no risks? i mean the price seemed hella cheap around $10 per subject

but i am aware that collegeboard stirctly prohibits secondhand spread of their exams
