Rough Idea for Swain in 2XKO

I was watching the Top 24 Day 2 of Evo when I looked around and saw some familiar dev team faces seated behind me. Spoke to Unconkable very briefly, expressing how much I want Swain in the game. I got the impression Swain doesn't get asked for often, although he's popular in future character polls I've seen, so I thought of a cool and very rough idea for him in 2XKO.

In the lore, he's sent to Ionia on a failing mission by then grand general Boram Darkwill because he was viewed as a threat to Darkwill's rule. Swain cheats death by making a deal with the demon of secrets, Raum.

I thought of how in fighting games it's common to lose a round since you play ft2 each set. So what if Swain had 2 forms? Not an install, but a post-"death" demon form that's only playable after you lose a round? I think it'd be cool both to play as and against.

It's a rough concept. I gave him a glaive because I always imagined soldier Swain with a very One Piece Whitebeard-like figure. Canonically, I don't think we've ever seen him pre-Raum but I'd imagine he's much younger than current League Swain i.e. Noxus cinematic Darius' age.

Balance-wise I don't expect either form to be stronger than the other. Movesets will be very different, and I'm sure the dev team will cook much harder than I can. His League moveset is very straightforward to translate but the possibilities are endless.

One cool idea is somehow adding his life drain. It would be uninteractive for an fg to just proc at close proximity. What if, instead, he used his demon powers to close in a domain on the stage (fortnite style), essentially forcing close combat (which is good for his Q dmg iykyk).

It would only start closing in slowly when he's in his demon form (2nd round), only to a max of 30-40% of the stage, and the safe non-drain zone would be around him. The drain would have to be VERY slow to be balanced, but it should be just enough to encourage close combat which is a fairly achievable counter.

I'll leave the real cooking to the devs, I'm happy with all character designs so far so I'm sure they'll nail it.

Relatively chill place to catch a world cup game

I’m going for an event but just realized there is a game tomorrow I want to catch. Don’t need a huge screen, just a free seat and a regular sized screen at regular viewing distance. Where should I go?

Thinking of getting one, not familiar with options

I’m looking for options around a flexible $100 price point. I have been reading on my OLED phone in dark mode at night. If anyone has made the switch from a similar habit, are there noticeable benefits? I’m aware I will depend on a front light for reading in the dark.

edit: Forgot to mention I've been using Libby recently, and would like to be able to read books I borrow on there.

Very specific criteria, any genre

Looking for books where sometimes or at least once, something extremely weird and specific happens, and it isn’t explicitly explained or called back to and pretty much left up to the reader to decipher.

I just finished reading I’m Thinking of Ending Things and that books is weird throughout, but there is a specific part where the girlfriend uses the bathroom at Jake’s parents’ place and when she exits, here slippers are facing outwards, as opposed to facing the bathroom door when she went in and took them off. It’s open to interpretation but it’s just beyond that threshold of weirdness for me to think about it for years to come.

Another such example is from a short story called The Rich Brother by Tobias Wolff. There is a part near the end where Pete gets down on one knee and searches the dirt on the side of the road for something he himself doesn’t know what it is. It isn’t explained and the story goes on normally. What did that mean? Why did he do that? Will I figure it out before I die?

You could argue anything open to interpretation fulfills this criteria but these were specially memorable for how mind-boggling they were and how matter-of-factly they were delivered. If you have anything similar, please share.

I got back into reading after a long hiatus. I like fast paced books. I’ve read The Gap into Conflict, Dark Matter, and currently reading the Gap into Vision all within the last month. 2 years ago I started The Black Company series, liked the first book but never got around to continuing the series. Need similarly paced books, not necessarily similar in quality as long as it’s not unbearable. The Gap series would be unbearable for me if the overall setting wasn’t intriguing.

I’m also considering the Malazan books. Is that a good idea for what I’m looking for?

I've been seeing this recently, maybe started after the Akali patch. Windows crashes and restarts after exiting 2XKO.
