JAK inhibitors

I’ve had alopecia areata for the last 5 years and it only seems to be getting worse. Steroid infections aren’t helping as much as they used to.
I was wondering, how safe and how effective are jak inhibitors? Are there any side effects? Thank you

How much is too much B12?

Back in January I had my B12 tested after symptoms of numbness in hands feet face and mouth, hair loss, fatigue, brain fog, etc. and my level was 218. I’ve been supplementing with injections once a week and my doctor thinks I may be getting too much now. My level went up very quickly after supplementing. How much is too much B12 and how do you prevent that?

Also, when do you start to see improvements on symptoms when your levels seem to get normal?

Hair loss

I had a b12 of 218 and homocysteine of 14.4 back in January. As soon as I started supplements, the hair loss got so much worse. I’ve had this for years though. I’m not sure if the hair loss in being caused by low b12, lupus, or alopecia areata. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

PA says im not deficient

My PA says I’m not deficient in b12 and don’t need injections. I’m on sublinguals right now and I’m wondering if that’s enough.

My b12 was 218 before starting supplements and homocysteine 14.4. I’m experiencing neurological symptoms of numbness in hands, feet, face, mouth, brain fog, fatigue, hair loss. What can I do to get injections if I need them?

Does having a positive anti C1q mean I definitely have sle? My anti dsDNA and anti smith are both negative. Don’t have any morning stiffness, no butterfly rash. Have a history of autoimmune with alopecia areata. I have low B12 of 218. And high homocysteine of 14.4. I’ve been having hair loss, numbness in hands, feet, face, and mouth, brain fog, fatigue. I’ve been on hydroxychloroquine for 9 months and it hasn’t helped what was believed to have been sle. Is it possible I have a b12 deficiency and it’s getting mistaken for sle?

Both tests came back negative but I have symptoms. Numbness in hands, feet, face, lips and mouth, hair loss, brain fog, fatigue. B12 was 218 homocysteine 14.4. I also have history of autoimmune issues with alopecia areata. Questioning if I have lupus or if my symptoms are from a b12 deficiency, but both of those tests coming back negative is making me question it. Any thoughts?

Feeling pretty discouraged after today. I’ve been dealing with numbness in hands, feet, and mouth, hair loss, fatigue, brain fog, etc. My b12 is at 218, homocysteine is 14.4. I thought I finally found the issue, but my intrinsic factor came back negative. Any thoughts?
