First thing a manager thinks of me

What does a manager think if he sees a 27 yo who has a CV with a 3 year gap and never had a full time job? What do they think when they ask me "How many interviews have you had so far?" and I answer them with 50+...

Its probably something like "This guy is unsuited for this position" or "How can someone search a job for 3+ years and still be unemployed!"

This has become the reality for me. Im not 18 anymore going unprepaired for my first ever interview. No, Im a seasoned candidate going for entry level jobs and being denied over and over and over again.

I usually have to write 10 applications to get to 1 single interview, theres some companies I have applied to for 4 to 5 times and was ALWAYS rejected.

I hate HR, I seemingly cannot get a good run with a single job interview. I think the problem is that Im anti social or have anxiety in most interviews.

Regardless of what it is, im now at the point a manager MUST think that Im some sort of dumbass.

No one choses their life

First of all no one choses to be alive, you just are because the universe works like that for yet unexplained reasons.

But I also stand for the opinion that the universe is a superdeterministic structure, every moment is just another point in space-time!

Did I choose to live that life? Or was it prederminated?

Regardless, I cant control the actions of others.

Actions like getting rejected for jobs over and over and over again!

I applied to hundreds of jobs over the course of my life, yet I was never taken. No one gave me a chance. If I could have chosen (in regards of my qualifications) I would have had a job back in 2018!

A secure, full time position as a graphic designer. Thats what I always wanted but what was never offered to me.

Your choices as a individual being are impacted by an infinite amount of variables, YOU DO NOT CHOSE YOUR LIFE! You only chose one of an infinite amount options.

CAN I even work?!

Offically the job center says I could work at least 6 h a day. But everytime I watch someone else at work, I think to myself: I could never do that. Im legit asking myself what my skillless ass could even ever do.

I wanted to work in a warehouse at the start of this year, but now I think this will be too physically draining for my weak body.

I used to work in a kitchen, but the smell and the heat drove me away. I probably could not work in a kitchen again.

What the people at the job center dont understand, is that I am not socially able to connect to any people (I also hate people), theres no job were you dont have to interact with people.

Social anxiety inducing!

I never had a full time job and I am now questioning if there is even ANY work I could do or if I am unable to work any job at all!

No one ever gave me a chance

800+ applications in 3 years, have a college degree, have 1.5 years "job experience" (but only in part time jobs), 50+ job interviews...

...and never taken. Always rejected!

The warehouses rejected me, McDonalds rejected me, the army rejected me (3 times in fact lol).

Theres not a single fucking thing I ever applied to that did not end up in "we moved on with another candidate" or "you lack the experience for this entry level position" or "the position was cancelled due to the companies lay-off wave".

Im 6'0 btw so its not my height and I look average or slightly above average for my age especially.

Yet, NO ONE EVER GAVE ME A CHANCE!

Getting a job in 2026 is no easy feat

Just watched a video of a women who needed to write 500 applications after getting a degree in accounting to get a job and that was after 9 months.

I watched another video of a guy who wrote 1000 applications who has many different job experience and still searches a job.

I myself have done 330 applications and still have no job!

Getting a job in 2026 is no easy feat.

Wasted potential

I, 27m, have unfortunately wasted my 20s and best years. I graduated top of my class in Highschool and then pursued to become a graphic designer since I love art and always wanted to do something with media. So I trained myself in Adobe programms, as well as Cinema4D, Zbrush and Blender. I then spend the following ~3 years trying to get ANY qualification as a graphic designer (but also other things since it kinda didnt work). I applied to hundreds of companies, but was always denied and rejected no matter where I applied. I even did home assignments for some companies but then came the job interview and I never got a job.

Then corona hit. And I was left alone at home without a job, so my parents suggested to me to simply go to college.

I was clueless and didnt know what to do. I wanted to train microbiology but took on energy and environmental technologies.

So I graduated with an engineering degree in 2024. A degree which is completely worthless and turned out to be kinda a meme since I didnt learn any practical skill and I am awful when it comes to electrical engineering, but also have a low understanding of environmental chemistry and technologies.

I NEVER made friends in college.

After college I went NEET until now. Now I am looking for literally mindless work since I simply cant keep up with the advancments in AI and how AI also kinda replaced a lot of what I learned for graphic design. Literally anyone can build a website now easily, its not hard.

I am now applying to warehouse jobs and retail and maybe as a dishwasher simply to find some social skills.

This is what I strive for now: Wagecucked minimum wage jobs.

And in all of this, I see my potential wasted. I cant do anything with my degree and I also cant do anything as a graphics designer anymore (also because no one in Germoney wants graphic designers anymore).

So this is the end of my life, after having seemingly wasted my 20s and ended up with no valuable skills, knowledge, experience or friends.

The only experience I have is from part time jobs like landscaper, dishwasher, retail and as a baker which I did before corona.

But all in all its just 1.5 years of "job" experience. And I just turned 27! Its OVER! 😢😭

I dont understand consumerism

I dont understand consumerism. So for starters I am a guy who lived the past 3 years of 10$ every day. Thats what Ive been living on, 10 bucks. 300$ per month is what I spent on basically only food and like necesseties (toilet paper, dish washer, towels).

I eat bread and cheese for breakfast and then for lunch I have 7 dishes that cost 5$ or less, which I repeat every week. I also wear the same clothes for years and my gosh are clothes mass produced these days. You can get clothes for like a few dollars if its second hand clothing. I wear my clothes till they really get like destroyed.

And I dont understand people who spend like 500$ every month on new clothing or shoes.

I have a drivers license but I never owned a car and maybe if I had a job I would be forced to buy a car, but really I can also go with the train and by bus.

My lifestyle would barely change if I made X amount of money. I just dont understand why so much useless crap is produced.

People just buy so much junk, like collecting garden gnomes. Who needs garden gnomes? Nobody. But they are still produced and someone buys them, because if not there would be no market for garden gnomes.

There would be like no economy if most people lived like me. So why are so many people just buying unnessesary things?

The past was better

Best times were 2010. Everything was cheaper, you could go to McDonalds and actually afford a meal, now a Sprite and a BigMac cost like 10$. Being a millionaire isnt seen as anything special anymore, theres now people who make 6-figures who live paycheck to pacheck and theres now a trillionaire (Elon Musk).

Houses have become completely unaffordable where I live. Here houses are like 700k for starters AND you need to renovate them, which is like another 30k minimum.

But what especially sucks is how Social Media has taken over. The average Gen Z spends 6 hours every day on the phone, Gen Alpha averages 8+ hours of smartphone usage per day. Without a large social media following on like Instagram or X/Twitter you are seen as a loser.

Social Media has become the primary institution for dating. In fact 80% of Gen Z is finding dates online through dating apps like Tinder and Hinge or plain old social media.

How are u supposed to find a partner or friends without social media? Well for older Gen Z that is likely impossible now.

Another reason why I dread the 2020s is how third places have disappeared. I live in a small city now and there are little places or activities you can do to interact with people your same age.

I probably dont have to say too much about the job market of 2026+ because I think most NEETs are informed - its disgusting.

I wrote 300 application this year before I stopped again since I wasnt getting any jobs. Only ghosting or rejection. Would this have happened in 2010? Probably not, because not everything was online, supervised by AI and needing 5+ years of experience for an entry level minimum wage job.

Of course the absolute best times were when the Boomers were young. You could buy houses for 50k, had all the options for investing into stocks early to make huge amounts of profit which is also barely possible now except you get lucky and invest into something like the AI bubble and get the right stocks. Crypto is just kind of washed now, but honestly socializing was just way better and thats what a lot of young people miss out on. I certainly did. I never had real friends unfortunately I had the bad luck to always end up with the wrong people and facing the disaster that is the 2020s.

Thanks for reading.

Down 50%

Im down 50%+ on my Solana investment, but it just keeps dipping and then going sideways. Is it OVER for Crypto? No reverse in months. How much money are you down on your latest crypto investments?

Never saw the point

I never saw any point in school, work, hell all of life was pointless up until now.

I dont WANT to learn some shit I dont ever need. Having a degree just for having a degree. (Btw I now have a degree just to have one).

When I was in 8th grade I simply stopped giving a shit, I stopped learning and participating in classes, I went to school with dread and when I failed exams my teachers were questioning me Why I have changed so much.

And my answer was simple: If I complete this nonsense called school I will simply end up another damned wageslave!

They didnt understand any of it, they didnt understand how pointless this endeavor is. That I inevitably end up a loser. And guess what!? It happened.

Im a loser, I dont have a job, girlfriend or friends. I dont have social media presence, hobbies or any interests since suffering from anhedonia.

Nothing I ever did amount to ANYTHING. And i did a loooooot of shit. Now tho I finally given up completely. Theres nothing I could do that would change anything at this point.

My destiny is to live of neetbuxx and lay in bed pretty much all day everyday, till I am dead.

I could have spared myself the trouble of college and school because nothing woule have changed.

Its awful being a neurodivergent NEET

Especially if you have OCD or schizophrenia like me.

My thoughts are killing me and I have fake memories of having dealt with the police thinking I was a serial killer.

I get burned out easily

Im just not made for work, especially physical draining work, Im just done one hour in. Im finished quickly. They want us to work 8 hours a day!!! Ridiculous, how am I supposed to do this If I am drained an burned out before I even begin to really do the job?

Life is so ridiculous and dumb. Just pointless grinding for low pay that gets you nowhere.

Hustle culture

Never understood hustling and always working more and harder then the next guy only to eventually afford an apartment after 10+ years of constant grind.

Meanwhile I, 27, have barely ever worked and never saw the point in making something out of me OR when I did no one ever gave me the chance to do something with my life.

Instead of hustling im chilling following a different culture: Bedrotting!

Time goes fast

Pretty much half the year is already over and I still remember last christmas as if it was yesterday. I havent done anything this year besides writing 300 applications that went nowhere and going to psychiatry for 2 months.

Time just goes faster and faster. You bedrot a bit and the whole week is already over again.

Which reason let you to become NEET?

Was it because you are disabled or because you cant find a women in your life or because you are neurodivergent?

For me it was actually because nobody ever wanted me. For some reason no matter how many times I applied (hundreds of times btw) and how many interviews I got, I simply never landed a job.

Maybe HR people realize I am schizophrenic or I dont have that inner desire to be a wagecuck or because another candidate was simply always better then me...I just dont know, they never tell.
