NordicTrack Commercial 2450 - Return?

I just had my NordicTrack Commercial 2450 delivered yesterday. A few years ago I had a NordicTrack Commercial 14.9 Elliptical that was pretty decent but I sold it when we moved. I also had an Echelon Stride treadmill that gave me no issues.

I’m having second thoughts about the treadmill based on what I’m reading here. Do I just use their return policy and have them come pick it up to save myself a headache down the road? I’m a walker so I use the treadmill for inclines mostly.

Any advice is appreciated.

Entering Apartment at Bad Time

Long story short, I work from home for a company that was recently acquired by a large equity firm. We’re all worried about the possibility of losing our jobs. Some higher ups from the new company scheduled a meeting on August 6th from 12 to 2 that I can’t reschedule.

We received an email from the leasing office that they have a third party vendor on site that day from 9 to 5 to conduct “energy assessments”. I sent an email to the office making them aware that they won’t be able to enter the apartment between the hours of 12 and 2 but any other time that day is fine. They respond by sending an abrupt response that they can enter wherever they want as per our lease. I respond back indicating that I’m really not trying to be difficult but I really can’t reschedule this meeting and that they will not enter between the hours of 12 and 2 and that I’ll put the security lock on the door. I know they can let themselves in, but every time they come in they’re loud.

Our complex was recently purchased a few months ago by a certain group and they have been making so many excuses to gain access into our apartments for BS reasons. My one neighbor got them on camera when she wasn’t home. The people who entered her apartment didn’t even do what they said they were coming to do!! I think this is an excuse for them to come into our places to see how many animals we have, how we’re living, etc.

Was I really being that difficult by asking them to come any other time except between the hours of 12 and 2???

One or Two Wedding Bands - Opinions Needed Please

The left is my current set. My set is a Gabriel & Co. platinum. The wedding band is 1.9mm and the engagement band is 1.8mm. My ring size is 5.25. The oval is 1.3 carats. I used AI to create the look on the right.

Do you think the set on the right looks ok for a wedding set? Which set overall looks better? Thanks in advance!

Jeweler damaged my ring when changing the basket

On my platinum Gabriel & Co. engagement ring setting, I had the princess basket changed to an oval basket. The filigree was damaged when they changed the head. Can this truly be repaired or will I need a whole new setting? I

I included a photo of what it looked like before I dropped it off and another photo of what it looked like after I picked it up. I also included a screenshot of my conversation with the jewelry store. Please tell me what you think.

Can I switch from princess to cushion cut?

My wedding band and engagement ring are soldered together. The diamond is a 1.52 princess cut. I want to change to a 1.5 elongated cushion with a 1.3 ratio. Is this feasible? I’m assuming the head would need to be changed. I just want to keep my existing set. Thank you.

My mother died this past January and as her Executrix I have to sell her one year old home that’s in a 55+ community. I need to sell it soon as there are limited funds in the Estate account and I can’t afford to keep it going forever. I can only keep it going for another five months. It took us a few months to get it ready for sale. We were finally ready. The agent that helped my mom buy and sell houses in the past is helping us with this sale. He put it as “Coming Soon”. Before the house was officially for sale, he called me and said that this couple that used to live in the area (Ocean County in NJ) wanted to move back from Florida. They offered cash at full asking price ($600,000). Attorney review was concluded after three days on April 17th. Before it was finished, other people saw the house. I had another offer at $580,000 with a mortgage. With attorney review over we obviously didn’t show the house any longer.

The buyers had the home inspection on Wednesday, April 22nd. All we heard afterwards was a concern about the siding (buckling) and a crack in the master bathroom grout. They supposedly called out a siding specialist to come the next day on the 23rd. My agent was calling their agent asking how the siding specialist went and this guy never answered. Finally he tells my agent that they have a few requests and that we’ll hear from their lawyer on Monday. Nothing on Monday and at the end of the day Tuesday their lawyer calls my lawyer and says we’ll have a response on Wednesday. No response on Wednesday except to ask us for the HOA documents. My lawyer sends those Wednesday morning. My lawyer had been sending emails asking for a follow up as we never even received the inspection report. Their law office was blatantly ignoring my lawyer. My lawyer said in his 43 years in this business he never dealt with a law group that acted this way.

This morning their lawyer sends my lawyer an email saying they want to terminate the contract as “they were not satisfied with the HOA documentation”. My agent says he’s never had someone cancel over something like that. We all believe they kept changing the date they were going to give us a response as they were probably waiting to hear back about another house and this was the excuse they used to get out of the contract.

Throughout all this we found out that their agent is one of their relatives and they recently sold a 1.7 million dollar house. Their agent being a relative explains a lot as their agent went silent and stopped answering my agent’s calls.

Why didn’t they just use the inspection as a reason to cancel? Any ideas?

Is this type of nonsense normal in Real Estate? I really hope we can sell it fast this time around. I’m angry that these people wasted so much of my time.
