Can anyone please help how to ensure spaced repetition.

I am new to precalation, covering 2 gs subjects and optional. I want to fix this before it becomes a blunder. I hardly make room for recall let alone spaced repetition.

It is because I read the content/notes/books very slowly in the 1st pass itself. I tried skimming 1st then reading in depth but still don't feel confident even though it helps me read faster.

I read a paper on how to recall onupsc subreddit itself and it included- ankiflashcards, spaced srepetition, blank paper recall etc.

But I'm still struggling with my reading speed. Everything feels wrong, my reading speed, writing speed, recall. All this is affecting my confidence and most of my days end with unfinished targets and no recall.

I put in alot of hours but I take the ffirst pass very slow.

Please guide on how to

1- read faster

2- regularly recall

Anyone pursuing phd in political science alongside UPSC prep? Please connect.

I am 22, just started preparing for upsc after masters endsems in June. And lost around 2 months in anxiety and haphazard prep.

Apart from the guilt I am in constant anxiety every few days my JRF expires in March 2028. And my optional isn't even polsc, it's another subject.

Idk why I didn't post all this earlier. Could've saved a lot of time and anxiety. If anyone is pursuing phd in political science in DU/JNU/BHU/HNBGU please connect I'll need only 5 minutes.

Ik the workload is different in different universities, but I'm still scared about how I will manage the 2 together. I might have to enrol in phd by July 2027 because many uni don't have 2 phd cycles.

Just want to know if they're manageable and how much UPSC syll should one be ideally prepare with before phd?

Hey everyone, looking for advice on private colleges/universities offering BA Economics (Hons) where admissions are still open for this session. Thank you!

Haven’t taken CUET or any other exam yet.

My friend of 5 years won't congratulate me or be happy about my achievements!

I'm 23. Now, the thing is that, I have a friend, who doesn't always ask me what I'm doing in life, but when she does, and if I tell her l've cleared some exam or anything significant, she would NEVER congratulate me. NEVER. Let alone congratulating, she doesn't even pass any positive comment like good or happy for you. She just goes silent and changes the topic. She never wishes me luck for my exams (Ik I sound immature here, but I always remember her exam dates and make sure to wish her. She's younger than me and currently in her 2nd drop year, but I've never made her feel bad or demotivated!

It might sound like I'm making a big deal out of nothing, but she's not the same with her other friends. She would talk about their jobs and internships to me, without me asking about them.

I was still in my final sem of PG till last month and while discussing our stuff she called me UNEMPLOYED 5-6 TIMES ! just completed my masters and have cleared jf in my discipline. Ik it's not a big deal, but I felt so enraged & humiliated that I shared my scorecard with her & told her have to share a news, she didn't say a word. Might not be a big deal for her, but it is to me! You can't call me unemployed if it's my choice to take a break! Even if I hadn't cleared any exam, I WAS STILL DOING MY PG bruh.

I once even confronted her about this (cuz she would confront me on even smallest of things like not being able to call back) and she said "You and your sibling are intelligent and I feel a bit inferior and it's not shocking for me when you clear any exam" DOES THIS EVEN MAKE SENSE! We're not of the same age, not from the same streams.

She's a close friend of an old friend who had confessed to me and I had rejected him, sometimes I feel she's in my life only to see if I can do better than him or not lol. Never talks positively about anyone I have a crush on. I haven't dated since 6 years and she calls me a loner & what not. I think I have my answers while writing this, but it hurts. I'd never say such things to her. There's more stuff, Ik I shouldn't keep her as close now but idk what to do.

She’s been there for me too, when I had stuff going on at home, and I’ve also tried to help her out in certain things. Also she has anxious attachment with almost everyone, and I’m scared that if I try distancing myself in the long term, she’ll get many issues. But at the same time, I can’t be near her either, I’m already so insecure and concerned about my career & stuff. Idk what to do!

I need an accountability partner to wakeup at 5 am daily. Will try to wakeup even earlier, maybe b/w 4:30-5am daily. IST timezone.

I was in a meditation group & I’ve gotten used to waking up at 5 am, but I don’t want to invest money any further in that & want to do things on my own from now on. Need an accountability partner only for this purpose, irrespective of age, gender or exam. No chitchat or stuff.

Please reach out if you’re preparing for some competitive exam for the next 2+ yrs or so. Losing track once in a while is okay, but we’ll try to stick to 5 am. If more people are interested, we can possibly convert it to a group, where we can hold each other accountable. Would prefer telegram for this purpose.

Thank you!
