Anyone planning to study in France for the September 2027 intake?

Hey everyone! I’m creating a WhatsApp group for people who are planning to study in France for the September 2027 intake, as well as anyone who wants to connect with people interested in France.

The idea is to have a casual space where we can get to know each other, share our experiences about the application process, learn more about universities and life in France, practice French, and eventually meet each other once we’re there.

Whether you’re already preparing your applications, learning French, or just considering France as an option, feel free to join!

Join the group here:

Would be great to have people from different backgrounds and cities come together before we all make our way to France!

Non-EU student applying to French public universities for September 2027 — looking to connect with others + a few questions

Hi everyone!

I’m an Indian professional planning to apply to French public universities for the September 2027 intake. I’ve been learning French for the past 4–5 months and am currently working on improving my level before I apply.

I believe applications for the September intake generally start around January/February, but I’d appreciate some clarification from people who have already gone through the process.

I’m particularly interested in Master’s programs related to Marketing, Management, Strategy, Business, or Communication.

I had a few questions:

  1. How difficult is it for a non-EU student to get admission into a French public university?
  2. What is the interview process like?
  3. How important is French proficiency?
  4. How does the application process work for non-EU students?
  5. How many universities/programs should I realistically apply to? Would you recommend applying to 5–6 programs, or building a much larger list?
  6. For people who are already studying at a French public university: What do you wish you had known before applying as an international student?
  7. For current applicants targeting September 2027: What stage are you at right now? Have you shortlisted universities/programs, started preparing documents, learned French, etc.?

I’d also really like to connect with other non-EU students who are preparing for the September 2027 intake.

If you're also applying for 2027, feel free to comment or DM me. Would be great to share university lists, deadlines, application experiences and preparation tips!

LET'S CONNECT!
