Drag and drop attachments into Signal doesn't work
"Unable to load selected attachment"
Anyone know how to fix? Signal is Flatpak.
Thick status bar, any way to make slimmer?
This command below isn't working in adb to force immersive mode. Was wondering if there are any workarounds. The status bar is such a waste of space on my Pixel 10 Pro Fold. I tried in Settings>Display>Display Size reducing the slider but didn't help.
adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.full=*
Can I make the status bar less thick on Pixel Fold?

Bitwarden broken on Linux Fedora: Tried RPM, AppImage, Flatpak
Does anyone know a fix? The app launches but no keyboard input and mouse cursor disappears when moving over the window.
GNOME Wayland, Fedora Workstation 44, LG Gram 2026 with integrated graphics.

12 hrs troubleshooting audio playback artifacts/skips in a Windows virt-manager VM
I'm self-employed and this is for my work and I'm desperate for some advice. LG Gram integrated GPU from 2026 on Leap 16.
I updated libvirt, qemu, etc. last night and now audio playback from VM skips/is slightly distorted/has artifacts.
Things I've tried:
USB passthrough with a DAC interface added through virt-manager
Headphone Jack
Laptop speakers
ICH6, ICH9, AC97, USB options in virt-manager
Uninstalling/disabling High definition audio driver in Windows Device Management and re-enabling
Editing the virt-manager xml to pulseaudio or something besides Spice (which never actually saves apparently because my VM is on the system and not a user so it doesn't have permission to talk directly to the user level pulseaudio stuff on Linux?)
Downgraded libvirt, qemu, etc. to version that was working 2 days ago

Nothing I've tried has solved it. I've been using this setup for months and suddenly it breaks and doesn't want to work again. I'd rather not share how this is work related and why I can't replicate it locally on Linux. I've been down that road and need this proprietary Windows software. Thanks in advance.
Why are my icons melting away?
Anyone have any ideas about why this is happening? I do have Dash to Panel and Just Perfection installed.
I'm on an LG Gram i5 with integrated graphics, 2023. Leap 16.
Is HEIC working for anyone with gcam/pixel camera app?
I have a 10 pro fold and can't find HEIC setting in gcam -- version BSG GCam 9.7 (MGC_9.7.047_V11) on celsoazevedo website and I looked in Pixel Camera from Play Store.
Maybe someone knows which version of gcam to use at https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/
I tried BSG GCam 9.7 (MGC_9.7.047_V11) and while that did reveal a setting to open photos I've taken using my preferred gallery app and not just show a prompt telling me to download Google Photos (looking at you, official Pixel Camera app in Play Store), I still don't have HEIC, only jpeg or raw.
Narrow chat area in Android app
I'm checking out privacy focused AI search assistants and wish Lumo would utilize the entire screen on my folding phone like every other service I've tried. I'm less productive because of all the scrolling.
Maybe I'm an edge case with a folding phone, but I haven't run into this with any other service and other Proton apps format okay.
Looking for the app activity to create new task. Got a new phone. Where'd it go? Want to launch with mapped key press.
Philosophy vs practical execution (GOS vs FOSS vs Self-Hosting)
I'm probably overthinking it, but I'm interested to hear how people approach this.
So I'm leaning more into FOSS and degoogling, so I ordered a Pixel for GOS.
However, I recently learned that GOS recommends Play Store before any FOSS app stores.
That kind of broke my brain and had me evaluating my goals and philosophy.
Do you folks just set up a different GOS profile for Google stuff and keep using apps from Play Store without a second thought?
Or do you lean into FOSS apps as much as possible?
Or do you try to self-host as much as you can?
I'm kind of just looking for a North Star to follow here.
I've been self-hosting with Immich and Nextcloud for a couple of months and thought I had a new philosophy to live by, hence the Pixel purchase and GOS plans.
However, learning that the values of GOS don't align perfectly with FOSS has disrupted my posture a bit.
It's not very satisfying straddling privacy-centric apps/services alongside popular services that want all your data, especially taking into consideration the efforts required to go down the path of more privacy.
DNS sinkhole with MagicDNS - is it possible?
I'm using MagicDNS for Immich and Nextcloud.
I have AdGuard Home running on my home server.
I thought I could simply enable Override DNS servers in Tailscale admin with a custom name server to force all traffic through AdGuard and run some filters.
But when I do this, I can't access any web pages on Android even though I can see the Log in AdGuard showing the attempted web searches from Android.
Am I doing something wrong or is it just not possible?
Would setting up Immich and Nextcloud on my own subdomains help? (I bought a domain name thinking I could use split DNS to run all other traffic besides Immich and Nextcloud through it but later learned it doesn't work that way.)
How to travel/move countries with cold wallet?
I'm moving to another country this year.
I have a Bitkey, so not a standard cold wallet, but was wondering if anyone had experience or tips.
I'm debating leaving it with a family member in the country I'm leaving, however, don't love that plan.
I'm a little stressed thinking about getting questioned about this unusual looking hardware device at the airport by security/customs even though BTC is legal in the country I'm departing/arriving in.
It'll probably be fine. Just curious if anyone else has done this and how it went.
