Hello beautiful people

I can finally provide a rather exciting announcement and the reason I've been a little quieter than normal.

This sub started in December 2025. From that point, and this is all down to you guys, a wonderful community has formed of creators of this beautiful genre. Since then, we have released two very successful Mixtapes that have raised over €500 for Doctors Without Borders. Not only this, we are seemingly inspiring each other to create more and more human made music to ensure we contribute to the devaluing of AI generated music.

From the begining, I've always had a vision for supporting and improving in whatever way I can the process of music creation for other. The reason why today is very exciting is that I can proudly Dust Planet Records is now very much LIVE. Together with Ben (Makkaratalo) and Anton (Lezarath) a label has been created with the sole intention of supporting artists through the tedium to enable full focus on the creation.

To launch this we have begun our social media presence on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube which 100% would not be possible with the support from Leah (Entelechy) and Pavel (Ocre) to not only create the material but refine the strategy of promotion through these channels.

Creating Trip Hop Creators gave us the vehicle to start this trip hop revolution. Dust Planet Records has given it an engine.

It's revolution time!

Hey all

The video attached is a little game play trailer for the video game I am doing the OST for.

Firstly I'm sorry that this isn't trip hop related but I thought some of you may be interested in helping with this project I'm currently working on.

I am working on an OST for a video by a super indie dev. The game is a gravity racer, similar to WipEout, without the weapons and lovely cell shaded graphics.

Currently there are only 3 tracks completed that are raceable but he is looking to get some feedback on the work so far to improve the future tracks. Essentially, he needs as many people to actually play the game as possible and be playing testers so any help at all would be amazing.

Here is the link to where the game can be downloaded for free.

OS Supported - Win and Linux (I can't test it as I have a Mac 😭)

Hello beautiful people

The next episode of the podcast is now live with a nice new rebrand.

We all know the music of Bog Sorcery, now it's time to understand the mind of the person that creates it.

Hope you all enjoy.

Hello all

I've been a little quiet on this front for a while and although this was intentional, It's about time I sent an update on this and compilations going forward.

The main point to share is that we are no longer working with Dungeon Radio. The equivalent value. of the remaining tapes they had for Beat Tapes Aren't Dead Vol 1 was donated to Doctors Without Borders and Trip Hop Isn't Dead had already sold out.

HOWEVER! and this is very exciting news. We (Me, Anton (Lezarath) and Ben (Makkaratalo) are currently setting up our own record label. This now means that future compilation releases will still have a label, will still have physical releases but also, we have releases on Vinyl AND CD as well as tape.

Due to format constraints, THID Vol 2 is 1h 20m long and therefore will be split into two. The track list of each is yet to be decided but the first of these two will be released within the first quarter of 2027 with the second of these two being released in the final quarter of 2027.

Sorry for the lack of info on this front recently. Turns out setting up a record label takes up a fair amount of time 🤣.

Peace, Love and Trip Hop.

Hey all

It's been a while now since I released the album that finally got me signed to a label. Thought I would give out some free codes to anyone who is interested.

I'm a Trip Hop producer from Leeds centering on the style defined by Mo Wax and Ninja Tune. I'm incredibly proud of this album and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Hey peeps

The winner for this month's Sample Challenge will be announced no later than tomorrow. Tamas is crazy busy at the moment rehearsing for live shows.

This month, just like every month, has been another amazing turn out. Thank you everyone for buying into this idea and making these fun little collaborative projects so easy.

Hello all

This is just a quick message to maybe highlight things that are happening in this wonderful community peeps may have missed

Monthly Remix Challenge

From the 1st to the last day of every month, we run a remix challenge. Previous month's winner selects a song for everyone to remix. On the last day of the month we reveal our remixes and the person who provided the track picks a winner. The winner gets their track on a mixtape that will be released next year and picks the next month's song.

It's a great way to sharpen your skills with samples and creating songs and also get a whole bunch of remixes of your song you can use as B-Sides or an EP should you be a winner.

Monthly Beat Relay

This runs from the 15th of the month to the 14th of the next. This is a little bit of fun where you receive 2 bars from the person who went before you. From those two bars, you develop your own 16 bars and send the final 2 to the next in line.

Everyone's 16 bars then get stitched together and we get to hear the madness for the first time each month. It's a great way to get to know each other and work with each other to produce something badass.

Both of these are currently running as I type and you read. These can be found at the top of the sub as pinned highlights. Get involved peeps.

Peace, Love and Trip Hop

Hey guys

I've finally pulled together in one place all of my breaks.

There are over 500 in here plus some static effects.

Enjoy

Hey guys

I probably should know this answer by now. Recently I'm finding issues when bouncing to WAV. Every now and again, I'll bounce a track and upon playback there will be certain stems in that track that appears to skip / stutter.

Has anyone experienced this issue and understood a potential clean and consistent way to export / bounce without experiencing these issues?
