USB C cable isn’t working

I just got a 5gb usb-c to usb-c data cable and when plugging it up to my pc and meta quest it only reads as a charging cable. It’s the insignia 16ft vr data cable. Idk why my pc and quest 3 isn’t picking it up, I mean that same slot I have a headset dongle plugged into it and it works so I’m lost. Why isn’t it picking up the wire? I’ve plugged up my headset before with a usb 2.0 cable and it connected so I know it can but idk if a port is being weird.

Anyone else ever had this issue? Should I just go USB-A 3.0 to USB-C instead?

Looking For Good USB 3.2 Gen 1 Cable

I have a quest 3 and new PC. I am looking forward to playing PCVR but I do not have any usb 3.0 (or higher) cables. There’s a lot of options online but I was hoping to get a recommendation for a 3-10ft usb 3.2 gen 1 cable for the Quest 3 link. Or I’ve heard soemthing about wired VD being better? Idk, whatever so the least amount of lag and no I’m not going to go wireless so please dont recommend that.

I've seen how there is a mod USSEP that fixes tons of bugs for skyrim special edition, I never finished skyrim when i started playing it a while back and now I am playing it on PC for basically the first time.

I have heard some people dont like USSEP for its "arbitrary" changes and I don't want any of those changes either, I just want bugs and whatnot fixed. I am just trying to find a straightforward answer on if I should stick with USSEP+ another mod to fix it or go with an entirely different mod to fix bugs, or if I should just go without any since i am trying to play purely vanilla skyrim.

Sorry for what may seem like a dumb question, I just want to get the best out of skyrim without something that changes the game.
