Rant: Anyone else over all this crap on the sidewalks all the time?
You can hardly walk anymore. Wtf!

None of my Summon features have been working for weeks. I get the "Vision system temporarily degraded" message in the app. This is even after a hard restart, several car washes, and regardless of whether Sentry mode is enabled. Anyone else? Is it time to open a service ticket? I had even checked service mode for error codes and didn't see anything related to cameras and all camera previews look fine.
Currently on FSD 14.2.2.5 but had previously been queued up to download 14.3.3 and later 14.3.4. I was checking the morning to see if my push rolled to 14.3.5 or possibly even 14.3.6 and noticed that I no longer have any push at all. I’m not premium connected so it’s not usually connected to WiFi. i checked the current version release notes in my app and it’s something unfamilar (widevine 4.3.10.50). Did Tesla cancel my update?
I have bypassing updates because of how stable 14.2.2.5 has been but the last few days it’s done some uncharacteristic wonky things, including this. It randomly stopped on a freeway on ramp, started again, reversed, then ultimately drove on. I am not sure what happened here but the road was empty enough that I was able to let it struggle with whatever demons it was going through. Kinda of makes me wonder if it’s thinking about freaking out more often and just doesn’t because there are other cars to consider.
Anyone have any experience taking the 1 up the coast with FSD? I'm a long-time California resident and I've been meaning to eventually make the trip. It's not always open due to road closures but I understand it is at the moment. I was pretty excited to do it until a coworker experienced it and mentioned that he did not enjoy it as much as he thought he would. Mainly due to there being some pretty exposed and tricky sections of the drive that he was a bit overwhelmed by. I am a reasonably adventurous person but I do get a little anxious with heights. Particularly where there is reasonably credible threat of falling.
Anyone have any experience here with FSD? I'm wondering if this would potentially make the drive more comfortable or if it would be even more terrifying. :) Admittedly I'm not very familiar with the drive/route itself, other than it is acclaimed for its beauty.
Thanks!
I feel like my current FSD version 14.2.2.5 is capable and stable so I intend to use it for the foreseeable future. Does anyone have any experience with holding out on updates? How long will Tesla let you sit with an outdated version before pushing the issue?
I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else complain about this but Tesla could really stand to ease the transition between its drive modes. Particularly when "down-shifting." Maybe I'm the only one that regularly switches the modes on the fly but I was on the highway yesterday in "Hurry" and knocked it down to "Standard," it practically slammed on the brakes immediately and treated getting out of the left lane like an emergency. It was actually fairly dangerous. I looked like that guy who was determined not to miss a late exit.
I had heard self park is not a part of the FSD suite. Does it process hazards? It was backing into the space here and I got nervous and manually braked. Would it have stopped otherwise?
I am still a beginner and thus bias my fingerings toward not shifting but M330 seems perfect for a 5 on the lone C to me. When I watch videos of others playing it, it’s almost always shifted. How common are extensions in the real world? Suzuki seems to believe in them but people don’t seem to do them. I could see if the note warranted vibrato or something but these quick 8ths seem like the best possible scenario for a 5?
This is a head scratcher to me. Metro Bike added new bike share stations at the new, D-Line stations but nowhere else around them?? What are you supposed to do with bike share that’s only at the train station? It’s totally redundant to the 20, 720, and D. I rode between La Cienega and Fairfax stations yesterday but that’s because I was trying to quickly see all the new stations. By the way, I DO NOT recommend you do that as it is terrifying biking Wilshire.
