And the results…a UTI!

I’ve been experiencing a flare for 13 days. I thought I just got really freaking unlucky, and my flares usually never last this long. So, on day 10 I decided I’m going to use an at home UTI test strip. It showed positive for leukocytes but not nitrites so I was on the fence about seeing the doctor about anything. I’m glad I did. He ordered another culture to be sent off when the one he did in the clinic showed the same thing—after it got officially finalized by the clinic it showed it was positive! I’ve had a UTI for 13 days now! My back has started to hurt 2 days ago and I’m feeling chills, but my temperature is normal. It’s so funny though because I ran around the house elated that I have a UTI because at least I can take meds to make this pain go away you know? Where as a flare it’s just the waiting game.

How often can you take Pyridium?

I just asked for the prescription and honestly it’s heaven in a tiny red pill. LOL. It’s 100mg and so far I’m only taking 1-2 pills per day for 2 days, as I’ve researched and learned is recommended. I know I shouldn’t go past 2 days of being on this medication.

But what I’m wondering is how long do I have to wait before starting up on it again? Do I have to wait a week, two weeks? A few days? I’m not sure, I can’t seem to find any solid answers and I don’t have a urologist (3 years and waiting for one so far 😒) so I can’t ask them either. I’ve already gotten my urine tested for a UTI and it’s not that so…not sure what to do.

Do people actually get personal urologists they can see/contact?

The thought of this is crazy to me. I’ve been on a waiting list for 2 years and now I have an official “acknowledgement” that I was sent 1 year ago telling me that I have to wait around 18-24 more months (im at 1yr 1m now) to get an appointment. Does anyone here actually have a urologist they can contact or see without going through so many loops and bounds? Are they helpful to you?

Overall I’ve been waiting 3 years, 1 month to even book an appointment for a urologist.

Edit: I’m Canadian lol.

Alternatives to AZO?

In Canada, at least the province I’m in, I can’t get AZO over the counter and anything else needs a doctors prescription for. I’m planning on getting a prescription when I can, but as of now I’m sort of stuck hobbling from washroom to bedroom and definitely can’t do any 3+ hour waiting rooms right now.

Is there any alternatives to AZO (over the counter) that I can find around the place? I take marshmallow root pills and those usually help. But does anyone know anything else? If I were to order AZO it’s around $60 a package which I don’t exactly have the money for right now anyway.

PERIOD PADS

Alright, so, I was just cleaning my hamsters enclosure for the past 2 hours (watching Dexter as I did so it took longer) and I noticed I needed to put a pad on. Normal, okay, cool. I go and put one on and not even 5 minutes later—flare.

This has happened before, sometimes it’s 2-3 days into my period, sometimes it’s the same day (keep in mind I put a pad on before the bleeding) I thought it was JUST hormones.

It’s the pad.

I’m losing my actual mind. Yes, hormones definitely play a role in this, but it’s not just them. I use the Always brand and I know they’re not the best but they’re cheap and what I thought was fine. Now here I am sitting in the washroom having this massive breakthrough 10 minutes before the stores close while I rush my mom out the house to get me some cause I can’t leave the washroom LOL.

I can’t believe I never connected the dots, I never thought that pads may be the actual cause of my flares. I would say 99% of my flares are around my period, and like I said, I always thought it was hormones. But I swear if I change to cotton pads and suddenly I’m fine? I’m going to scream and cry at the same time.

I’ll give an update soon on how it feels if and when I get the cotton pads.

EDIT: I’ve switched to cotton for the past 3 1/2 hours and my flare went away instantly. This is crazy.

What are some of your favourite bots?

Hello! I have a few creators and bots I know/like, but I really want to find more.

The bots I like are mostly male, dominant (not always in that way), and are tagged with any POV or male POV, and are rather detailed. Please feel free to share your favourite bots or creators!

Deleted Bot do I lose my chats?

Devastatingly my favourite bots now have ‘deleted’ under their names. Does this mean I should expect chats to no longer work and responses to stop? I’m getting responses from them currently, but if I go into my favourites they aren’t there. They’re only in my chat history that I can access them. I know this creator has permanently gone offline but I’m not sure why the bots are deleted now?

Diablo Crossed The Rainbow Bridge

Diablo crossed the rainbow bridge on June 1st 2026. He was 2 years and 1 month old.

I had known him when he was still in his mother and I was there when he was born. He was so small but he was such a precious little hammy. I’ve never had quite the same connection to any of the hamsters I have had the opportunity and blessing to care for in my life.

The animal hospital that I took him to for cremation was extremely caring and sympathetic. They gave me a hand drawn envelop with a card that is signed by everyone and a paper about the Rainbow Bridge. Diablos home now, and it was the best experience I have ever had with a cremation service and animal hospital.

Anyone know where to adopt a hamster?

Hey everyone, my wonderful Hammy Diablo passed after a long life (2yrs 1month) and I’m getting prepared to house another hamster (dwarf hamster specifically). I would love to get a hamster that is in need, so one that may have been given away from previous owners or a hamster that is in a shelter of sorts before I go to a pet store. Does anyone know any shelters that might have hamsters in them? I’ve never seen any which is why I’m coming here to ask lol.

This old family fish tank I’ve had for yeaaaars has been a massive pain for everyone. The driftwood we used ended up dying the water bright red and after many, many, many years and water changes later—it was finally a more diluted orange. Which, we still didn’t want.

Finally, everyone agreed the tank was too much work so I decided to take on this massive project—with the help of my boyfriend, lol. We drained the tank, cleaned it out, exhausted our arms with the amount of scraping we had to do to get the algae off, aired it out with a fan for many days, and over the span of 4 days we got this beauty as good as it could possibly get for a 20+ year old fish tank.

Today, diablo received his early birthday present! He will be turning 2 on the 14th so of course I had to give him an upgrade from his 50 gallon cage to a 77 gallon!
