I have a few Mosin's and this one is definitely my favorite. Shoots amazing and the woodwork is absolutely gorgeous. My neighbor came over one day and asked if I'd be interested in a few of his guns, so I picked this one up from him a few years ago. RIP Skipper.
I picked up a clay thrower, clays, and a hand thrower at a gun show this weekend for 20 beans! So we got the pigeon blasters out. Remington 870 express, Century Arms PW87, and a WW Greener. To me, the Greener is the most fun!
After getting back into guns recently, I looked to see if there were any shows going on soon. Low and behold, there was a Big Top Gun Show this weekend in Clark County at the fairgrounds! Me and a buddy made the 90 mile trip. We were the 6th rig in the parking lot about 40 minutes after the show opened. That should have been our first sign to just leave. We paid our entry fee and looked around. After 10 grueling minutes of Turkish garbage and overpriced ammo, we left and made the 90 mile drive back home lol. I was quite disappointed and won't be making that mistake again. Are there any good shows left anymore? I used to go to the Wes Knodel ones in Chehalis, but they closed down after he passed. I'm willing to make an overnight trip if the show has more than 5 tables. Thanks in advance!
I finally got my new to me W.W. Greener shotgun! Found it at a small shop in Montana and had to have it shipped back to WA. I've never seen one of these in person and have wanted one for a few years. It's a pretty custom job with a bunch of chokes and goodies. I can't wait to get some range time with it soon! I'll get better pictures tomorrow. This is what you get now, haha.
Like the title says, is it still worthwhile to get a C&R license here in WA? I'm getting back into guns after a long hiatus. I mostly collect milsurp and old stuff, so C&R was really appealing. Is it still worth getting now? I got a Greener GP the other day, and I'm incredibly frustrated I can't have it right now, haha.
I had a box of 405 winchester for my sharps hidden away with some other ammo, but some of the casings have corrosion, about half of them. None of the other ammo it was stored with has any corrosion. I noticed that the top 3rd of the effected brass is discolored a little? This is from Hornady that I bought 7-8 years ago. I'm 99% sure it was new and not reloaded brass, but I can't confirm. Any idea what happened? Is it safe to clean up and shoot?
I took my new to me 45C out today for the 2nd time. I put a box of Blazer through it from 10-25 yards, and I'm consistently low left. I don't shoot much, but I'm still pretty happy with the results. Flame me all you want, but I'm working on it!
I picked up an HK45C to carry on my motorcycle adventures, and I'm super excited to shoot it soon! I'll have to stock up on 45 again, it's been a minute since I've had one. I was torn between a USP 45 or an M&P 45. But this fell into my lap, and I couldn't say no.
I'm looking at picking up an M&P 45 Shield as a carry gun for on my motorcycle when riding in the back country. I'm a big guy, and waistband holsters aren't really comfortable, so I'm looking at chest holsters. I checked out a few different pistols today and really loved the feel of the S&W. The Springfield Hellcat was a close 2nd but wasn't as comfortable in my hands, but it's super cool that they're optic ready. From what I can tell, you can't buy an optic ready 45 slide, but tons of 9mm? But I can send the slide off to get machined for an optic? The PC version would be great, but you can only get them used now? Sorry if these are dumb questions, I'm a milsurp guy, and I'm looking at getting something modern, haha. Any help/advice is appreciated!
Picked up this new to me 1971 Suzuki TS250 for $300. I'm excited to get to working on it soon. It should be a pretty neat bike!
I'm selling one of my other bikes this weekend, so I'll have some extra money for mods and gear, around $1000. I have bags, a tent, a sleeping pad, pillow, sleeping bag, and jetboil. But I'm curious what you guys would recommend?
