Fired

So basically, I got my pharm tech license a month ago in my state. I was hired as a trainee a month ago and was told at the end of my last shift today that I’m being let go right before the busy season because they can’t afford to train up someone from zero right before shit hits the fan. My operations manager made it clear that I wasn’t leaving on bad terms by any means, but I was told that I’m welcome to re apply once December rolls around and the numbers calm down again. I can’t tell if that was just some bs cop out excuse to make me feel better, or if they genuinely did not have the sufficient staffing to babysit a trainee during the busy stretch. Not that I’m certain, but I think one of the techs at my store quit last week because I didn’t see them for my last four shifts. Let me know if this is common or not, until December; I guess I’ll just have to grind off of delivery service again unless I should just let this be history.

New pharm tech (Intercom plus keyboard guide)

So basically this is my first job as a pharm tech. So far, most of the job is easy. I can fill prescriptions just fine, of course my only issue that I can never solve myself is anything to do with IC+ or insurance altercations. I may be a Gen Z adult, however I’m illiterate when it comes to anything computers. I just wanted someone who remembers instinctively how to change insurance plans or register new patients. As far as changing someone’s insurance plans, all I remember is to press f9 to enter their birthday -> information -> third party plans, but I remember nothing after that. Just be respectful please, and also let me know how to register people’s pets or new patients. And please no: “JusT ASk a CoWOrker brO”

Pokemon Platinum venting

Honestly just wanted advice for my next run attempt in this game specifically. This is the last mainline game I have yet to complete a successful nuzlocke run of, and I have attempted it three times now within the last two years. I just remember almost every critical hit in this game resulting in a one shot, even if I spent hours grinding each team member to stay on par. Grinding is so dangerous for that reason also, and it seems like every route has either geodude or graveler so there’s a constant threat of self-destruct. Maybe I just wanted to release my frustration here, but if you guys had any success stories or advice of what I can do differently then tell me. I’m already aware that the turtwig line is the strongest starter by default.

CVS new hire question

So I got my first pharm tech job at CVS and had my orientation today, it was really bad and I was alone for most of it. I came here to ask if anyone who has or currently works there knows where I can find my posted schedule? I should have asked before I left. I checked Workday and colleague zone but found nothing. And before you respond with: "Just ask your manager bro", my store manager hardly responds to their texts. I figured this would be faster.

"Humanities elective" prereq

I am transferring over from a community college and am trying to get admitted into the radiation science program here. My advisor told me that I must take a three credit GenEd humanities elective here, because none of my humanities electives from VCCS equated to one of the specific ones listed here. What is the easiest one to take?

First ever successful run (Y)

Let’s go! My first ever successful nuzlocke playthrough of surviving the champion. Yes I know X and Y are the easiest pre-gen 8 game to nuzlocke, but keep in mind this was my first victory. And hopefully a stepping stone into surviving a bw2 run without blacking out to Ghetsis.

And I emphasized “pre-Gen 8” because the switch era fucking ruined nuzlockes for obvious reasons.

Preliminary pass on PCTE, and waiting

Last week I got a preliminary pass on my PCTE and when I got home it showed up on my exam history on the portal as “taken”. One week later and I don’t see it in my portal exam history at all, and I’m still awaiting updates from emails. What does this mean? I just hope my results weren’t discredited.

Fulfilling the team memo

I’m now over halfway through my Pokemon Y nuzlocke, and now over half my team is named after a meme. More specifically from 2010s mlg culture. Except for my pyroar and swellow. Any nickname suggestions for those two that are meme related but also fitting?

Fair exception?

So for my first ever time playing ultra moon, I decided to do a nuzlocke challenge run. Made it all the way to the elite four without a blackout and a solid team still standing. Then I battle Molayne last and his Metagross swept almost my whole team. Was so blindsided and frustrated that I thought “to hell with this” and pulled out revives for the first time in the run. I figured I was at the league at that point and I had nothing else besides the champion after that. I was already proud enough that I got through the whole rest of the game and ultra necrozma successfully. As someone who has never pulled off a successful nuzlocke challenge before, how do y’all feel about this exception? Hopefully this is relatable lmao.
