UK-based mobile hairdressers for muslims

Salaam sisters, wanted to ask a genuine question about something we experienced in the UK. My wife has struggled with salons here in the UK not always being able to offer privacy/segregation (some women-only salons do exist, but none close to us), and it made me wonder - could it be easier if a hairdresser comes to your home instead, so that's a non-issue entirely? Just trying to figure out if this affects others or if it's just specific to us. Would love to hear if this is something you've experienced or would use - happy to share more in DMs if anyone's interested.

Where do women get haircuts?

Salaam everyone,

We are relatively new in the UK and I wanted to ask where women get haircuts here? Most (if not all) of the barbers dont have a segregation in the shops. How do you guys do it? Do you call someone home? My wife was looking to go in but we don't know where (in West London btw)

How are muslim couples socialising?

Salaam,

Genuine question for muslim couples in London (not a singles thing). My wife and I have been in London a few months now and honestly, outside of each other, neither of us has close friends here. We're not talking about big events, more like looking for other Muslim couples who'd be up for the occasional dinner/gathering. Anyone else felt anything similar? Would love to hear how you've navigated this

Biggest pain point for landlords

Hey everyone, a relative of mine owns a flat in Dubai and recently went through a pretty rough experience with a non-paying tenant. It got me thinking about how stressful property ownership can be, especially if you're managing things from abroad. I'm curious for those of you who own property in Dubai, what are the biggest headaches you deal with as a landlord? Whether it's chasing rent, dealing with disputes, navigating the RDC, managing things remotely, dodgy agents, maintenance — whatever it is, I'd love to hear it. I am planning to invest in property soon but I wanted to see what I can expect.

Will SpaceX be included in the HSBC Islamic Global Equity Index Fund?

Salam all,

I'm currently based in the UK and am invested in the HSBC Islamic Global Equity Index Fund. I know there will be 3 new IPOs listed soon, will these be included in the fund? The 3 I'm talking about are SpaceX, Anthropic and OpenAI (SpaceX being the first). I am asking as I think these stocks are VERY overvalued and it may risk the profitability of the fund if these do get added soon.

Software developer looking for a cofounder

Hello,

I'm a software engineer with almost 5 yrs of experience as a full stack web developer. I work a traditional 9-5, but I've come to realise that does not satisfy me enough. I'm looking to have that sense of ownership on a product, one I think can only come from actually owning it. I've made projects in the past but haven't been able to sell them properly. I'm looking for a cofounder of sorts that has a validated business idea with customers willing to pay (I don't want to build for the sake of it). I won't be working on this as a 9-5, but I can spare a few hrs a day after my job to work on it. If anyone is interested, please dm me.
