Hot Water - always on or timed?

I have an Ideal Logic Air R32, Ideal Halo Air settings tell me to keep the hot water set to “always on” rather than timed as this saves the most energy.

I can kinda see the logic - keeping it topped up to 45/50C is cheaper than heating it from cold every time, but information online seems to imply either heating during cheap hours or during midday peak temps is cheaper/more efficient:

Battery connector help

Hi, just got a Fogstar IP rated battery, trying to connect to a Solis inverter. This is an outdoor install so all parts must be IP65.

How the heck do I connect this to my inverter? None of the cables match and I can’t find anything online. Smaller cables came with inverter, larger came with battery.

Classic ringing/grinding sound coming from the wheel, take a look and I see this. I think this might’ve happened before but it might’ve been another wheel (this is rear left, might’ve been front left)

Mechanic at the time cleaned calliper and flushed, was a fairly long time ago. Debating repairing myself as I’ve since moved and don’t know mechanics in the area I trust yet.

Reckon swapping the pads is enough or should I swap disk too, and worth cleaning the calliper again or will swapping the two parts be enough?

Old brick outbuilding, noticed soldier bricks above rotten window had begun to crack, as well as a stepped crack below the window and a crack along side of building. Solid brick, cracks are inside too. No lintel that I’m aware of.

No significant trees nearby, soil is limestone and no pipes or drainage. My theory is the rotten window means the roof weight is pushing on one side and has caused cracks. Planning on bricking up window as no longer needed - thoughts?
