Wife was bummed when ordering her 2025 M2 that cognac was discontinued, so I did a swap after years of searching for a complete interior. I think it looks great.

Just picked up the beast from @allprowrapsandppf where she got front end PPF and leather coating done. Just need to clear airbag code and install replacement cupholder and this car is the worlds nicest beater. 🤣

Incredible, unbelievable work by a local upholstery guy (Stitchcraft NC is the name, I'm just a retail customer not an employee) using Nappa Cinnamon which has now turned into the only USA based (worldwide, too?) Alpine White over cinnamon E39 M5. Buttery soft, new lower driver seat foam, and all the trims and boots done. Even the side plastic and rear seat pocket and shell were wrapped. The stitching is phenomenal and nearly perfect. The car looks and drives and feels better than new but is 26 years old.

Got the car back from tint and PPF today. They also tossed on the black badges and IND color matching reflectors. Went with full PPF including windshield, matte on the screen, and matte PPF on the wood trims which looks phenomenal. The small cutout on the screen PPF is for the attention camera for automated driving. Also had them coat all the leather surfaces. She looks fantastic.

Then brought her home and finished the Tuxmat installation, Fitcamx dashcam, Valentine One radar, and OEM color matched fire extinguisher. Added some wheel locks and tools to the cargo area along with a full emergency medical kit. Now to actually drive it!

Everyone knows that caramel doesn't wear well even with extreme care and attention. I tried bringing mine back using skills from my prior leather business but it just didn't feel right so I bought a spare interior, some new foam from BMW, and hired a local upholstery guy to make a cinnamon interior using brand new ultra soft factory correct leather. He's almost done and so far it looks stunning. Here are some pictures.

To answer the purists concerns: yes, I'm keeping the original caramel intact. And yes, cinnamon was a factory option on E39, not only E46, so this is still OE style.

Now, my Alpine White over caramel will be over cinnamon instead, probably the only one like it.

Looking forward to getting her on the road. We plan to visit all lower 48 and parts of Canada in her.

Not a pro! Just thought these were beautiful!

Couldn't find one loaded with everything except air ride, so had to order. We had an E70 X5d for years so this will be a big upgrade. Looking forward to getting it.

EDIT: wow you all are so supportive. I've been in online car groups since the 90s and lately, people are fairly toxic and hateful but so far, based on responses here, this may quickly become my favorite group. 😍
