Battery

Got a new battery on May 4 in my precious yellow iPhone 14 that I'm hoping to run at least another two years if it can keep up, in three months the battery Health dropped 4% but it took two months to drop at all. So I'm down to 96% battery health and no you don't have to do iOS updates for the number to drop. It's dropped without doing updates! I've seen some review videos on YouTube that say one percent a month is normal. But this is a little more.

The original battery lasted 6 full months before it dropped to 99%. Now I know there's depletion with use and age, but I'm not doing anything differently so it might be that I got a battery that sat on a shelf for one or two years because maybe there's not as many 14s getting new batteries. It was done at a verified Apple repair outlet, London Drugs in Canada.

Any issues with disappearing avatars linked from Facebook?

Since the new season, my avatar pic is blank. I logged out logged in, cleared my PUBG cache. Never happened before until this season. Just curious if anyone else is having that issue.

Found the perfect ring to complement the blueberry.

Again, winners, what a great store, $19 for a Nautica ring and I think it matches pretty good. I have no idea what this thing is made of I'm gonna have to research it. It feels like some type of ceramic, or maybe a polycarbonate? Ironically enough, I found a car to match the colour as well today lol

Arrived today!!!

So my winners store in Canada is still getting these in. They had one a few weeks ago. It's sold. They got another one in today the clerk told me so the entire inventory of them cannot be dried up yet. My friend joked that it "looks like a watermelon"

Whoever suggested this THANK YOU!

Whoever suggested to me about four months ago to use a toothbrush and soapy water to clean a stubborn filthy jubilee bracelet. Thank you. Amazing job. My wrist was turning black lol. I found it best to put some liquid body wash on a toothbrush build up a lather. Like a brand new watch bracelet again got all the nooks and crannies 👍🏻

Great deal, Pro Diver I believe?

About 10 days ago this thing was $199 now Canadian price of $135. Too bad I don't need another watch. Rotating bezel was a little stiff, but I'm sure a shot of silicone spray would loosen that up or even water.

Quite a deal???

My winners store had this model for sale for a couple of months pretty nice with that sky blue color. They reduced it to $199 Canadian. The tag says sold as is because for some reason there's a few links missing, but it fits a 7 inch wrist just perfectly.

My daily

Love the blueberry, and especially love the strapcode bracelet I put on it as I am saving the original blue suede leather strap. That's the beauty of only having two watches you get to wear the ones you really love ;) After buying 22 watches from Winners (TJ Maxx) since March 2019 this is the one that wins the prize of being the keeper

My 2005 Allure CXS 50k

Nice car but I sure had to get a lot fixed on it including five water pumps, swaybar new radiator, motor and transmission mounts, new tie rods, lots of stuff probably put about $11,000 Canadian into it roughly. Despite that expense, I still love the car. 82,000 kms or 50,000 miles on it. Dad was the original owner so I know the full history on it. Yes winter driven every single year for 20 years and no rest. There really is no excuse for rust.

YELLOW ROLLCALL (rare apparently)

Luvin' my yellow 14 that I got brand new in June 2023, enough so that I just got a new battery put in it a couple of weeks ago. Battery was 85% Health, but I just wanted it done. Not so cheap if you're paying out of your pocket. Was googling about how rare the yellow ones actually are.

Curious if anyone else has one...

Jubilee

I would love to know how everyone clean their jubilee straps, so many nooks and crannies. I don't know what people do. I've taken Q-tips with a tiny bit of liquid car spray wax and shine them up, but you just can't get in every nook.

Bracelet is Strapcode Miltat new in January

Well, it's nice seeing that hundred percent battery health again under my battery settings, paid $149 after tax Cdn at London Drugs for a brand new battery. To my fellow Canadian iPhone 14 users out there I fully recommend London Drugs because they are a certified Apple repair tech department and they put the water seal back in there to get the phone just like brand new when you bought it.

I bought the yellow 14 brand new at Best Buy in June 2023 so it's almost 3 years old and my battery health was down to 85%. For some reason it was jammed for the last seven months on 87% and my iPhone 8 seemed to do that also and then dropped quickly, but I didn't like charging it all the time so I just went for it. Luckily they didn't have to wipe the phone clean even though he was saying they might have to sometimes Apple recommends it or something so I don't know what he meant, but I'm glad I don't have to put everything back on it again from scratch from iCloud.

Anyway, a few months ago, I did notice a couple minor slow downs like when loading Facebook or waiting for a couple of apps to load but it's still pretty fast and it handles everything. Well I'm wondering if anybody else noticed any little minor slowdowns opening certain apps or in Facebook especially but like I said it's pretty minor and it still handles everything with no problems.
